I noticed several times before this date going down the hwy and the car accelerating on its own. I was at a dead stop and go on the hwy rush our I let off the brake to ease on up and my car went under into a truck doing over $7800. 00 in damages no airbags none deployed I just got my car from the shop on 8/30. I got in the car started it and backed up put the car in drive and it jolted into drive no foot on the gas peddle I had to hit my brakes again then I proceeded home. Still noticed this a couple more times. I didn't think about it at the time of the accident I was taken straight out by ems with a neckbrace. I've sit here confused for 2 months knowing how did this happen knowing it was a brake ease off and brake again traffic and the amount of damage done to the car. My 14 yr old daughter had to convince my mom I was not speeding because of the amount of damage. I will call the shop again on mon am but also Dodge or Chrysler this. I had to pay out over $4k in car rental (no I didn't know I did not hv that coverage. ) I'm now pissed off and confused at did this cause the collision? I've only had this car a year and until that point had never had an accident my fault in m life I did hv one this last week in a rental it was my fault I own up to that but not the first in the Avenger after starting it again yesterday at pickup and this immediately happening and I mean immediately happening again had the shop not already being closed for the weekend and my ride left I would have left the car at the shop. I know of the overhead airbag problems I hv tried to call once before. I will call Monday until my calls are returned please reply to this. I am also contacting my insurance agency this problem and the accident. Please contact me. Thank you toni sutherland 864-678-0876.
Deer started out into road, turned back toward ditch, then ran back out into road, I did not have time to stop or miss. Hit deer all across front of car. Air bags did not go off, seat belt did not tighten up, whip lass on neck and sholder. Total damage to car $5841. 59, why did not safety items on car work?.
We hit a deer and the front of the car was demolished. Upon inspection the next morning, I noticed that an airbag sensor was shattered and just hanging by the wire harness. Airbags did not deploy, I was concerned about this and never got a straight answer from anyone. Now I get a recall notice saying faulty restraint system, I'm not too happy. . .
Hit a deer at 60 mph the car started on fire and completely burned up no air bags went off Dodge investigated but will not tell us why the car burned up.
I had just merged onto 69 heading home from school. It was around 930pm. I start to pick up speed to blend in with traffic. There was a three car accident that occurred so we all slammed on our brakes to avoid from hitting it. Unfortunately I hit the back of a flatbed tow truck going between 45-50mph. To my surprise my air bags did not deploy. Even though I had a recall on my car a few months back for the airbags not working right, so I took it to my dealership to have my recall fixed. So when I got in this head on collision I was in shock my air bags still did not deploy.

I was on my way to work and cautiously preceded around the curvy road with my steering wheel held to the right. When I ended the curve and tried to turn my steering wheel back too the right it wouldn't turn back to the left. This caused me to crash head on into a tree. The air bags were deployed.
As I was driving down the interstate highway, I heard some wind so I checked window button, I then heard door alarm go off and as I attempted to exit highway on an exit ramp the door swung open!! my passenger had to physically hold it close as best she could until we found a safe place to stop to see if we could identify the problem. We tried many times to close it but could not get it to latch. We scrounged around on the side of the road looking for something to tie it together with to get it off the side of the road and back home! I'm glad my grandchildren were not with me!.

There is visible denting/buckling to the underbelly of my 2008 Dodge Avenger. I sent a formal letter to Chrysler hqtrs back in late July and they took more than a month to respond to my letter. I spoke with a woman with the better business section of Chrysler on the 28th of August and basically was told that there was nothing they could do and that my vehicle would be looked at by the dealership. I brought my vehicle into the dealership and they told me me that it was a natural curve in the subframe? while out on their lot I noticed 10 other Avengers with a completely different design type (more rigid and sturdy I. E. No denting) to the underbelly than mine. I only saw 1 other Avenger like mine with the same defect. I feel that there is a coverup taking place. This is a threat to the safety and the integrity of design of the vehicle. There is no telling what would occur if involved in accident, head-on or rear-ended? the outcome so far has been unsatisfactory and I don't know what else I can do? this is a major concern that needs the attention from the government and Chrysler corp.
