1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2014 Dodge Avenger

Failure Date: 08/27/2020

My seatbelts will unlatch whenever it feels like it, the seatbelts won't go in by themselves anymore, amd this all happened after we fixed the recall. Then all in a year the throttle body quit working, the alternator stopped working, it will not keep a charge, and sometimes when your driving for no reason at all the inside lights will dim and brighten. This all happens while in motion except the battery constantly dying even though the alternator and battery are new.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2011 Dodge Avenger

Failure Date: 03/15/2018

My Dodge Avenger has the same problem that everyone else's car has with a 3. 6l vvt in the car, the engine oil cooler cracks, and sprays oil everywhere, the problem is that if it isn't caught the oil get all over the place and causes belts to smoke because the oil and antifreeze are leaking from the oil cooler. Considering that this is a common problem with these motors, this needs to be investigated, so the oil cooler can be recalled, so Dodge will fix this problem!! it is dangerous especially if you're in the middle of a trip and it decides to crack while you're doing 70 mph down the freeway and all the oil and antifreeze blows out the car. And you don't even know where the problem is until the car is stopped and you get it towed home, you check all the fluids and refill them then you come outside the next morning and you see the big leak from the oil all on the ground and you have to have them tear the car apart because there is oil all over the place under the hood.

8 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2008 Dodge Avenger

Failure Date: 11/01/2010

"takata recall " recent and ongoing problem with my 08 Dodge Avenger is the airbag light has been coming on randomly, from start up and while driving. Airbag has never deployed or no injuries to vehicle, has been on and off since last year. Oil pressure light was also on, got the oil pressure sensor replaced, would start off from start up and would come on and off consteadly. Front driversseatbelt also stopped retracting have recently had that changed as well. The tpms light has been on for about 2 years now, turns on at start up and stays on while driving. The engine light has also been on for awhile now too, from start up and while driving, just stays on, since a few months of vehicle purchase, was actually still making payments when I took it in for service for the engine light, came off and back on 2 months later, been struggling with it every since. Just have learned to live with the engine light on and tpms light on as well. Have had to change the alternator 3 times on this car already too. My car drives fine now, don't want to just keep ignoring the problem, would really like that fixed.

14 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 1997 Dodge Avenger

Failure Date: 09/25/1998

Problem 1: since July '98, I have observed (smelled) noxious fumes -not your typical sulphuric rotten egg smell-when I accelerate, usually above 40mph. The smell is outside the car,but in summer and warm months it's quite overpowering with the windows down. I have taken it in at least 3 times for this problem, the service dept. Says they can't do anything about it-it's "normal"-I understand some sulphuric smell, but this is not "acceptable" or "normal"! they are basically telling me to deal with it, but they aren't the ones who have to drive the car every day and have the fumes overpower them whenever they put down the windows. Problem 2: my passenger side seat belt restraint locks and won't unlock until you disengage it from the latch. It was found to be a problem when I first bought the car, and was supposedly replaced with a whole new assembly. However, the problem persists. Once again, I feel unable to get the dealerships to respond to my inquiries. Helpless, if you may. . . . The belt continues to lock, and I'm afraid in the future it could lead to a serious injury to anyone in the passenger seat if I have to come to an abrupt stop. Please tell me if you can help me. I am currently writing to Chrysler's customer center with my complaint.
