In the last 3 years my vehicle has stalled 5 times. Today was the 5th time. I was on a hill about to turn onto another street, and as I started turning the steering wheel, the car turned off. It was very difficult to steer with no power. I turned the corner then put the car in neutral to start it up again. I was driving only abut 5 miles per hour on a residential street thankfully. The weather was cold but not raining. All 5 times that the car has stalled it has been a cold morning, and I was on an incline.

My vehicle is stalling out at any speeds while driving there are no engine lights vehicle always starts back up.
When the electronic stability control malfunction indicator light comes on, my car starts shaking violently, not responding as quickly to pressing gas pedal, jerking, slow excelleration, bogging down when I reach 50 and the feeling of my brakes applying themselves my room gauge sometimes rocks back and forth before and after the gear shift. . . A weird smell and heat coming from under the car even tho it's not reading a higher temp. . . I've changed the cps twice and the code will not clear. . . P0340. . . This happens all the time but it's random and happens even while I'm driving. . . Or when the car is running for a few minutes in park. . . Random. . . While the episode is happening sometimes I hear this fast paced tapping and "movement" behind my dash & steering wheel. . . I've tried everything I can to solve this problem and now I find out my car has recalls. . . My car dealership never informed me it was on a recall list. . . Please help before something bad happens as I'm driving. . . I feel like this issue could potentially cause my car to shut down or something could blow up. . . I just don't know what else to do and I don't want to accidentally hurt someone or myself if I potentially lose control of the vehicle or the brakes completely stop me without me applying them & I wreck or stall going down the highway or interstate. . . Very concerned and worried about what to do next. . . When this isn't happening to the car it behaves & drives perfect. . . It seems possessed or is having a seizure.

I was driving down the road and all of a sudden it was like the transmission shifted down to a lower gear, the engine reved up and then within a few mins stalled out. With no warning also all the warning lights were lit up. When I tried to restart the car it just clicked after jump start because of trying to start it . . . Restarted but still was "stuck" in the low gear and stalled out again. I then called a tow truck and had it towed home. I looked up recalls for the year of the model and found the recall #h33- tcm/pcm was recalled on 712 models by VIN it says mine isn't one of those but by description it did exactly as the recall describes. I was on a very busy interstate road during 4th of July traffic and almost caused an accident trying to pull off the road as my car suddenly slowed down and then stalled.

Engine locked up while making a turn around on busy highway. Made complete car's steering to be locked up. Lucky to be alive and other car did not slam into me. There is a recall for this very problem on this very car, however my VIN was not in the lot of cars for this recall. Managed to move over somewhat, by the time I had tow truck meet me (within the hour) police had car towed. This was 4 weeks after paying 1400. 00 in repairs on other car parts. 3 separate times, car stalled, while driving on busy highway d/t gas gauge stating had gas and really did not. Recall for 2009 Avenger for this problem but not 2013.

I bought this car at a dealership on July 30, 2018 with 58,200 miles. It was parked in the garage from 9/7/18 while waiting for the permanent tag because the temporary tag expired. After a week I noticed oil on the floor and decided to take it to a dealership. I was on the highway when the vehicle stalled without warning. Luckily, I was not speeding, the car was pushed to the nearest dealership. The next day after diagnoses, we were told it was the engine and we need to take it back to the dealership to fix it because we just bought the car from them. The dealership told me, I need $6,000. 00 to change the engine. The mileage was about 61,000 when the car was returned. Now, I don't have a car and in the hole for over $11,000. 00 the dealership is just giving me the run around at this time. Don't know what to do. Dodge does not participate arizona for lemom law.

After purchasing my vehicle I took it for a short drive on the highway. I was speeding up to 35-40 mph when the car stalled. The car started and I decided that I better take it home. I started the car, turned around on the highway and while I was driving, it stalled again. It stalled several more times on the way home, I was never able to drive more than 45mph before it would sta. . . Several days later I decided to try to drive it again. It made it two miles out of town (going 65mph) before it started stalling again. It took me over an hour to make it home because the car would start, drive for about 3 feet and stall again. The next day the dealer I purchased it from towed it to their shop and they "reset" the computer. It drove fine for two days before stalling again while I was driving down a city street going 45mph. I had to pull off the road. I was able to restart the car several minutes later and drive it the last 1/4 of a mile to work. Now I am at work wondering if I will make it safely home. I live an hour from work.
