Car has problems picking up speed when pushing pedal it slowly picks up speed, when the car is in motion and I push on brakes or I am backing out of parking space car shuts off. Also sometimes while car is running I notice it won't go over a certain speed it jus won't allow me to do over 50 mph and car starts to over heat but normally I pull over turn the car off and start it back up and it drives normal again , until the car is turned off again it mysteriously just happens again whenever it decides.

On April 7th 2020 I was driving up a hill in a residential area. When I got to the peak of the hill and I went to turn left, the car shut off and there was no power. I had to put the car in neutral and restart the engine. It started immediately. This is the third time it has happened on this hill, at almost the same time in the morning. It's always when it's cold and has been raining. In total my car has stalled over 6 times, always early morning, on a hill, and it's cold and/or raining.
Tl the contact owns a 2012 Dodge Avenger. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle was pulled off the road and restarted; however, the failure recurred while driving 70 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the crank shaft sensor malfunctioned. The crank shaft sensor was replaced, but the failure recurred. The original crank shaft sensor was installed back in the vehicle and the mechanic attempted to reset the sensor by driving to 70 mph and idling down. This process was attempted three times, but it still did not work and the failure recurred while driving 70 mph. The contact stated that the vehicle would operate as long as it did not reach 70 mph. The contact scheduled an appointment with brewbaker Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram fiat of montgomery (300 eastern blvd, montgomery, al 36117, (334) 279-0174) for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was called and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 80,000.
Dashboard lights up without warning; dealer failed to correct or report when first purchased vehicle in 2011. Now in 2019, dealer denies record despite having given us loaner Jeep and Chrysler 200 in separate occasions. In 2019, car lights up randomly, engine stops while driving on freeway or in regular street traffic or turning at an intersection, and dealer reports unable to correct. Extremely hazardous. Worth a lawsuit. Dash lights up, engine shuts off, steering wheel locks, car sometimes starts again but not always. We paid the dealer to fully replace the crank sensor but that isn't fixing it. Tpm sensor warning appeared and isn't going away despite dealer stating it should. Replacing psi sensor did not correct this system warning either. Dealer said warning appeared 518 miles before we took it in but the error occurred on 5/12/19 and we took it in on 5/14/19, only driving about 15 miles from 5/12 - 5/12/19. Either dealer lied or info isn't being held on computer's memory. Tired of almost getting crashed into because the car randomly dies.
Vehicle stalls out while driving. No warning, just shuts off.

I was driving home from work and all lights when off and car shut off and I had no control I was driving on interstate.
I was on highway I-80 and the horn started going off on its own. Engine started to lose power but thankfully it kept going and I made it home. Went to auto shop and they disconnected both horns. A week later, after I stopped, turned the engine off and tried to restart it, the engine would not start. Had the battery jumped and the car started. A week later the engine shut off again while driving. Stopped at red light on very busy street and the engine just shut down. Had vehicle towed to mechanic. It started. Mechanic could not find anything wrong. Tested the battery and it was good. Drove car home. 4 days later car would not start again. Waited 15 minutes and engine started. I am terrified to drive this vehicle! I don't know when the vehicle will stop. This vehicle is hazardous and could cause a fatal accident!!!.
I was driving down the autobahn at about 45 mph when the electronic throttle control light began flashing and the car lost all power. I had to let the car roll to the side of the street to avoid getting hit by other vehicles and there I tried to start the car and it would not start. The car had shut off before without any warning, but it started back up without any issues. I had the car towed to a mechanical shop and they hooked it up to a diagnostic computer with the code for camshaft sensor. We replaced the camshaft sensor and still no luck. Took it to a Dodge dealership and they said the engine needed to be replaced. We did not replace the engine because it would cost $8000. The car still only cranks, but does not start and the etc light is still on.
Engine shut off while driving twice then wouldn't start , had to get towed. It was diagnosed at code p0513 for invalid skim key and b1a25 for invalid key, I was on a neighbor street in srymna delaware miles from home .
This has been going on now for over a 1 year. My car engine just shuts off for no reason. I have taken it in had it towed in and multi Dodge dealership mechanics looks at it. Nobody can figure out why it does it. They have duplicated the problem lots of times but don't know why it happens. Every mechanic refuses to document in the systems that this is happening because they can't fix the problem but I make them all right on my copy of the service paperwork that they did duplicate it and what they did to protect me. The only thing they have every change is the erg valve but it still happens to this day. This is a huge safety issue.
