Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated while driving at approximately 70 mph the vehicle windshield wipers, turning signal(steering colum) automatically shuts on. The contact refers the defects to(NHTSA campaign number: 11v315components steeri also the gear shift is malfunctioning along with the seatbelts automatically detach without warning. The vehicles seatbelt and airbag sensor are also illuminated. ( NHTSA campaign number: 16v668) the vehicle was taken to( scott evans Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram 2280 bankhead hwy, carrollton, GA 30116) for diagnosis. The diagnosis were the brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired ( the approximate failure mileage was 170,000 tp.
My airbag sensor has been on had a mechanic hook it up to the daignostic machine and was told it still had to do with the airbag in the head rest which was already supposed to be taken care of. Now I see there is a recall on the control/ sensor but my care is not on the list. The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated that the air bag warning light continuously illuminated in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who stated that the occupant restraint control module was not communicating with the vehicle and needed to be replaced. There was a recall under NHTSA campaign id number: 13v282000(air bags , electrical system )however the dealer stated that they would only flash the totally integrated power module(tipm) per the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
