Takata recall. My car honks at all times, driving, parked, at night, in the day. It makes the sound of me holding the horn down non stop also as if I was pressing it on and off. When parked it also makes the sound of the alarm being set, also the sound of the alarm going off as if someone tried to break into the car. But what is mostly bothering me is the honking while driving, I almost caused 2 other vehicles to crash n run red lights due to my car repeatedly honking at them at the red light, I been cursed out and one time a female was trying to fight me in front of my children for the same problem. I have taken the car to GMC Buick (which is where I purchased the car) and Buick mechanic came back saying the computer did not see a problem. This is something very serious specially with all the road range going on right now. Also my hazard lights constantly come on on its own without turning off after hours later. I have had this vehicle for 2 years and I have replaced the battery 3 times due to the car giving me problems to turn on.

The seats move around as if they are not bolted down properly. Any speed if you hit a small bump or so much as move other then straight it’s extremely noticeable. I don’t think it is safe and my kids are in this car daily and I was hoping a recall would have already been called on this because I know I’m mot the only one with this issue with both front seats moving around as if it’s a carnival ride. And the cruise control stopped working in 2016. Also has always made a weird sound under the hood and come to find out I have had a bad transmission the whole time I have owned this car, also a common issue I have heard from many people. Also these cars have several different censor problems that keep having to be replaced as well as energy draining batteries more than they should. The hoses and injectors also have been a major problem. I thought I just got unlucky with my car but everyone I know has soooo many problems with these cars it’s actually crazy they didn’t stop making them sooner. I’m the only driver and owner of this car and drive like a grandma I have been told so I do know it’s not how I have been with the car, also regular oil changes and maintenance as needed on top of thousands to keep her running as I bought it brand new and refuse to let it die on me after it’s paid off.

I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger. My airbag light keeps coming on and off intermittently. I noticed if I move passenger seat forward or back it comes on and stays on longer. When I'm driving down the road there can be no one in the seat and the light will come on. After reading all the complaints around this issue, air bags deploy when driving and not hitting anything, or air bags not deploying when in collision, I think this is a huge safety issue! all of these people were told their VIN # didn't match the recall. I made appointment with lithia Dodge in helena mt and the guy told me on the phone he didn't even want me to drive the car because of how unsafe it is. I took it to appointment today and the guy today told me there are no recalls on my car. He said the airbag light has nothing to do with the airbag recall. What!?! big surprise, my VIN doesn't match!! why are we all having the same safety issue but not on the recall list????.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Avenger. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 3v282000 (electrical system, air bags) and 16v668000 (seat belts, air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

I was driving east bound and I was t-boned on the driver side by a car going south bound on whom ran the light. My car spun around and hit a steel pole on my passenger side which my 10 year old son was sitting. I hit my face on steering wheel and air bags never deployed on driver side which caused terrible injury and scaring to my left eye which is still visible. My son was in the middle of car smashed against the dash had to get out with the jaws of life. The passenger air bag deployed and draping on sides also on my side nothing deployed . I had whiplash, back and facial injurys. The car I was driving 2008 Dodge Avenger .
