6 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2009 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 03/31/2018

When accelerating my vehicle is slow to take off with max speeds of only 50 mph on the freeway and 30 mph city. I have pressed the gas all the way and car is still lagging. The cel stays on and the following diagnostic codes are read p0722 which is trans output speed sensor u1146 which is a communication error p0717 which is input speed sensor 1 circuit no signal p0700 which is transaxle control system malfunction and p0712 which is trans fluid temp sensor low input. I took it to a local shop and they suggested I take it to the dealer to perform a tcm software update and its still doing the same thing even after the codes were cleared. Now a code is read that has to do with a large evap leak. Am I being steered in the wrong direction so that the dealer can avoid honoring the factory recall of the powertrain control module/fuel pump relay nhsta campaign number: 08v528000. My specific VIN did not show up as being recalled but I would like to know if my issue can be further investigated. Please help.

8 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2007 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 03/18/2016

My service engine light came on, took it to advance auto and it popped codes p2006, p1607, p0722, p0717. I changed all codes except p1607 because they were cheaper. The pcm runs 299. 00 or more and I cannot afford that. My vehicle barely made it home, it had very little power. After changing the sensors, it runs smooth until you put it in gear, (service light still on and blinking) then it shakes so bad and has limp power. I cannot get back to advance to run codes again and would like to know if I need to re program the pcm? where can I get this done? the nearest Dodge dealer is in crossville, TN, a 45 minute drive and I am scared to drive this thing. I swear, I wish I never would have bought it, worst car ever. Please help me get this running right again, I am still paying for it. It has been parked since March 2016.

12 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2009 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 09/23/2009

2009 Dodge Caliber presented problems at 7,166 miles, brand new. I was driving while suddenly without warning the car stalled. It had to be towed. I took it to the Chrysler dealer for service and I was told the power train control, the totally integrated power module and the evaporative detector systems needed to be replaced. Two weeks later, I had to take the car back to the dealer because of the same problem, while driving the vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway. Then the battery presented corrosion, the dealer made me pay for the services, they didn't honor the warranty. After that the car kept having problems with the new battery that it was replaced by the Chrysler dealer. After that, the car was towed again, it was took to the dealer again and the pcm was replaced again, but the part came in and it didn't work, my car was on the dealer for over 2 months because DE pcm sent by Chrysler was a defective part, so I needed to keep waiting. Another pcm was ordered and they made me pay over 2,000 dollars for repairs; and after two weeks out of the dealer, the car started to have the same problems again. This car was defective from day one, having problems with the pcm, tipm and all the electric systems and detector evaporative system and the Chrysler dealer doesn't want to honor any warranties, and has not been able to fix any problems. This 2009 Dodge Caliber was defective since it was manufactured by Chrysler. It is to risky to drive a car that without any warning stalls in the middle of the highway, it is also a big safety issue, it is dangerous, and the Chrysler and its dealers should be responsible and extend the recall and respond to many customers who bought this car thinking it was a reliable car, with a good warranty that now they refuse to honor. Please investigate!.

13 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2007 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 06/08/2008

I recently had a transmission control module replaced in my 2007 Dodge Caliber (32,000 miles). Less than a week after getting my car back, I again had transmission problems. This time around they had my car for 4 days and replaced the gent power module, $800 computer part (under warranty).

14 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2007 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 06/02/2008

I purchased a 2007 Dodge Caliber in June 2006. I noticed this cars road noise increased over time, the brakes are horrible, the windows squeal putting them up or down, and the door hinges sound as if they have been rotting in a junk yard somewhere for years, and lets not forget the weird smell coming through the vents when the heat or ac is on. My complaint, however, is about the transmission. On my way to work, while I came to a brief stop and proceeded to turn onto another road when my car lurched and slowed right back down. I immediately pulled off the road. My check engine light was on. I called the service department from where I purchased my car and after speaking to them decided to drive my car there. As I pulled forward another light popped on. This time it was the transmission over temperature light. (I was barely going 10mph and it was 70 degrees out). From there the car was very sluggish taking forever to get up to speed and I went through this process every time I had to come to a stop. I brought it to the dealer who would not give me or cover a rental. I got my car back 3 days later after they replaced the transmission control module. (by the way there is no recall, but Chrysler has a bulletin out on this issue). Sunday June 8, 2008, I was driving for 2 minutes when it happened again. My car lurched, the engine and transmission lights came on and this time the park, reverse, neutral, and drive indicators all lit up as if I was in every gear at once. My appointment is tomorrow. I argued to get a rental, on them this time and will update as soon as I have any news. I will tell you one thing, after reading everyone else.

15 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2009 Dodge Caliber

Failure Date: 03/01/2008

The car started having stalling problems less than a year after purchase. Stalling problems are more common during rainy periods but could happen at any time. Most incidents happen while car is on idle, no movement, in the highway or at a red light. The car will vibrate and immediately stall or try to. Car has been taken to dealer under warranty but no reason for the stalling has been found; car is still under warranty. No recall notice is available at the Dodge personalize website. This car was bought at the military exchange new car sales in puerto rico but apparently was relocate from oconus europe and I am no sure how possible recalls will apply to this car. There is a NHTSA campaign id number: 08v528000 but I do not now if it applies to this car.
