Six problems related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was in park and the key out of ignition, transmission jumped out of gear, vehicle lost control, resulting in a crash. Dealer said it was the charactertisic of the vehicle. Please provide further information.
Our 2 1/2 year old son was able to put the car in drive without pressing on brake pedal, causing the car to move forward and crash into a telephone pole.
