Ignition Module problems of the 2010 Dodge Challenger

1 Ignition Module problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that the ignition key could not be removed from the ignition switch causing the battery to drain. A locksmith was called to the scene and the key was removed. The contact indicated the the vehicle had experienced several electrical failures while the key was stuck in the ignition switch including the vehicle stalling while being driven. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer tallahassee Dodge(3987 w. Tennessee st. Tallahassee FL) who replaced the ignition switch module. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 124,000. Jft.

2 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge (located at 5133 w irving park rd, chicago, IL 60641, (773) 777-2000) where it was diagnosed that the win module of the ignition switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in a recall for the ignition switch and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 101,000.

3 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2017

Takata airbag, fuel system, key module, electrical system. The car stalled while it was stationary I had it towed to Dodge and they said the fuel pumps we're bad, got fuel pumps changed car still won't start. The lights in the interior won't come on, the doors locked and unlock out of the blue, the key is stuck in the ignition. My VIN shows recalls but there are other recalls for yr mk and model but not listed under my VIN however my vehicle is experiencing the same issues.

4 Ignition Module problem

Wireless ignition (win) module key can be removed prior to placing vehicle in park,key will not shut off vehicle vehicle can be in motion or parked.

5 Ignition Module problem

Wireless ignition (win)module key may be removed prior to placing the car in park or even driving down the road it may fallout. Key will not shut vehicle off.

6 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated the vehicle experienced stalling while driving approximately 30mph. The vehicle was able to be restarted the contact disconnected and reconnected the battery. The failure happened without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed the wireless ignition node module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. There was recall for this failure 10v200000 (electrical system) however this vehicle's VIN was not included. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 128,003. Kh.

7 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 04/13/2014

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that while the engine was running, the key fell out of the ignition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the after market security system was causing the issue and the ignition module needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 10v200000 (electrical system). The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 84,000.

8 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 08/07/2010

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 10v200000 (electrical system:ignition:module). He stated that after contacting the dealer, they advised him that the part needed for repairs would be unavailable for six months. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised him to continue calling the dealer until the part became available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100.
