2014 timing belt was recalled and apparently repaired. Car shut off in the middle of the highway and then engine seized. Had it towed and service said it was timing belt again and now engine needed to be replaced. Called Dodge, they said there is nothing they can or want to do.

During its most recent scheduled oil change on may 25, 2018, the Dodge service department indicated that my 2010 Challenger srt8 with 56,000 miles has an oil leak that is leaking from the front of the crankshaft and the Dodge Challenger serpentine/drive belt is spraying oil all over the place under the hood, on the engine and directly into the alternator which the Dodge service department indicated could cause a fire! I contacted fiat Chrysler automobiles customer care (case number 34409843) and provided detail with after 5 customer care agents on 5 separate occasions promising me a callback (never received) wished me good luck with having Dodge address the engine oil leak / fire hazard. I have inquired with two other local Dodge dealership service departments and both indicated that they have never seen this type of issue on a 2010 Dodge Challenger srt8. On July 3, 2018, I once again contacted fiat Chrysler automobiles customer care and was advised that case number 34409843 was unilaterally closed by a supervisor without contacting me or the Dodge dealership service department that performs all maintenance on my 2010 Dodge Challenger srt8. Accordingly, I requested and the fiat Chrysler automobiles customer care representative opened up a new case (case number 34660813) case number 34409843 05/25/2018-gabriel employee id gw373 06/13/2013-jake employee id jr2692 06/20/2018-robert employee id rc2336 06/20/2018-lauren employee id luw551 07/03/2018-janelle (refused to provide employee id) case number 34660813 07/03/2018-doaa employee id dh1013 since the service visit on may 25, 2018, I have not been able to drive my vehicle for fear that it will catch fire.
Took my car in for oil change they said there was a recall on the timing chain and belt so they replaced it the next morning my battery light , abs , traction control light came on by the time I got to work it would not restart. Battery would not charge became extremely hot it melted the jumper cable handles. No power what so ever. . . 2 service men came to tow me and they both stated it was very unusual it would not charge at all. . . Very discouraged since it only has 23,000 miles . . . I was stranded on a city street for 4 hours waiting ist person locksmith/battery charger couldnt jump it so he left then called for a tow truck. . .

Car turned off/shut down by itself while driving, resulting in loss of power steering and brakes, for the 7th time. Speed relatively slow around 30 mph, and not turning sharply. Driving in residential area. Lost power steering and power brakes. Very difficult turn, stop, and restart. Vehicle did not store any codes. This is the 1st failure on the newly replaced pcm but 7th total since I bought the car new. . Dodge/Chrysler says this is "not serious" because there are no error codes saved in the car and they cannot duplicate the failure. They say if it was serious, there would be a code. They are not willing to look/ investigate further because there are no codes and it didn't die on their test drive while hooked to their diagnostic equipment. Service manager gene at waldorf Dodge said the srt help center/case manager recommended changing the transmission fluid & perform tune up; both performed 15k miles ago. (ridiculous. This is how women get treated at waldorf Dodge. He also told me the srt Challenger has a timing belt in the front of the engine-not). This is dangerous!!!.
I was traveling on sr 10 easbound and after passing the FL state line coming from alabama, the engine light came on and immediately after that the engine stopped. I had my car towed to the nearest Dodge dealership to pensacola, FL. The problem was caused by the broken timing belt chain that Dodge has a national recall on. The repair cost of the damage is $4500 (valves, cylinder-head etc. ) and Dodge would not give authorization to the dealer to repair it free of charge to me claiming that the car has a rebuilt title. This is not a warranty issue, it's a safety recall issue and it has nothing to do with the fact that my car was in a small accident and it's rear was repaired by using original parts. It was inspected and given not a salvage but a rebuilt title that is a marketable title. I believe that by law they should be obligated to repair it.
I got in my vehicle to run an errand. I turned the car on and the abs, brake, airbag, seat belt and every other light lit up and stayed on. A ringing sounds started and my radio began to flash until it finally went out. The car died and would not come back on. I am unclear as to what the issue may be. I was in the car earlier in the day and everything was fine. Their was no warning that the car would soon shut down completely.
2011 Dodge Challenger - I was driving and then all these diffrent lights started to flah abs, esp, and brake assist. Then the emergency brake and seat belt lights started flashing. My locked up I wasnt even abale to turn the wheel!! then the car just shut done, I had the car towed to my house . (more money spent) this was two days ago, the same thing happend 03/2013 I had the alternator fixed $800. 00 this should not go out after 1 year in a 2011! this has to be a deffect! I will never purchase another Dodge! I should not have to repay to get this alternator fixed again this will be the 3rd alternator in 3 years. . Very unhappy with Dodge> so then I towed my care 25miles to the dealer ship( $160. 00) to advised me its my alternator and my warranty expired 03/2014 very upset at this point and $200 to tell what I already new!!! I called Dodge customer service was not offer any assistant's with paying for this I was advised to wait for a recall! what the hell very poor customer service!! I will now write to there corporate office at Chrysler group customer care po. Box 21-8004 auburn michigan 48321-8004! this type of business practice is unacceptable.
