The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the failure. The contact stated that while driving at any speed there was an abnormal sound from the dash. Then, the vehicle engine seized and had not restarted. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact stated that the vehicle was later diagnosed by a mechanic who stated that the battery was dead. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. Bd.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start at times and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. In addition, when the accelerator pedal was applied, the vehicle was slow to accelerate. The vehicle had to be towed more than once and was inspected as well as diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The independent mechanic also provided repairs as the failures progressed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer.
