I have had to replace the radiator twice in the last year and a half. 1st time seam was split 2nd time the bottom of the radiator rotted out. Both times I relaced with new parts bought from the Chrysler dealer.

I was driving on the highway in milwaukee WI and the car stopped. I had it towed to palmen on 75 in kenosha . I only had the car for 3 months the engineer from chyrsler tolded me it was a faulty radiator. The car caught on fire while the tow truck hooked it up. They will noy honor the warranity or the recall could you look into recall on radiator . I almost died on the highway. I only had the car for 3 months. .

3 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 09/18/2015

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. While driving at various speeds, the heat was activated in the vehicle and cold air blew out of the vents. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed coolant and there was a slow radiator leak. The vehicle was not repaired, and the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the radiator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that while driving at approximately 50 mph, the vehicle's battery saver mode warning indicator illuminated along with all the other warning indicators. Also, the engine stalled. The vehicle was coasted to the shoulder of the road. The vehicle did not restart and was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

4 Radiator problem

Failure Date: 06/24/2015

2012 Dodge Charger//was siting stationary when heard a loud bang come from the engine compartment. Exited the vehicle and radiator fluid was pouring out from under the vehicle. Further investigation led to the passenger side fan had broken apart and seized. Also it came in contact with the radiator, splitting tubes on the aluminum core. Have read in forums that other consumers have had the same problem on early model Dodge Chargers 2006-2008.
