1 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 11/10/2020

First my car would not detect my keys (even after I replaced batter). When I was driving the check engine light would randomly come on and off even after getting all repairs completed. One day it repeatedly flashed on and off and keeps constantly. My car was also jumping and vibrating extremely hard and the engine was ticking. Going slow or slowing down, my car has a hard time turning. I went to autozone and ran an diagnostics. Afterwards I took it to the Dodge dealership and told them what I was experiencing and what the diagnostic said. I still haven't gotten it fixed. Moreover, my car is still at the dealership and I do not have a rental. The last time I took my car in for recalls, I was told they didn't have any rentals and I would have to purchase my own. Also, they never told me that the recall with my brake chocks weren't replaced. The individuals working in the service department didn't act really professional. They were demeaning and squaring me of things that I didn't do or agree to.

2 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2019

Defective left cylinder in pentastar 3. 6vl engine. My car was built in September 2013. It has the constant ticking and puttering associated with the defect. Drives fine, may or may not have the check engine light on, but when idle it shakes/knocks uncontrollably. My mechanic educated me on the defect after many attempts at repairing the severe misfiring. Contacted Dodge and Chrysler and was informed that because my car is a 2014 Charger it did not have the 150,000 extended warranty for his known defect in Chargers from 2011-2103; noting mine was built in 2013.

3 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 11/19/2014

The vehicle's engine was cold and it had been sitting in a parking lot for four days. I was attempting to merge into traffic from a toll booth. The vehicle would not accelerate past approximately 10 mph and it lost speed but the rpms were increasing. This went on for approximately five seconds and then the check engine light came on and I was able to accelerate into traffic. I drove for approximately 30 miles at 70 mph (after calling a servicing dealer who told me I would be okay driving the car unless the check engine light started to flash) then stopped for a traffic light. At the next two traffic lights the vehicle would not accelerate with cars backed up behind me and honking. The mph were at 15 but the rpms were at 2200. This went on for about five seconds at each light then happened again as I tried to merge onto another highway that was under construction with concrete barriers on both sides and had no where for me to wait for acceleration. The servicing dealer said they couldn't get my car in for 4 days. Two days later the check engine light went off. The next day the servicing dealer said they could not diagnose the problem without the check engine light on. They drove it for three days and then gave it back to me undiagnosed. The next day they said bring it back in because Dodge engineers read the computer code and told them to replace the transmission. The servicing dealer discovered metal shavings in the pan while replacing the transmission. The servicing dealer did not know what caused metal shavings in the pan but one of their employees told me on the side they see the problem a lot and drivers will call because they hear a loud boom from the car . I am a week out with the new transmission and still notice it does not upshift smoothly when the engine is cold. Neither the servicing dealer or the selling dealer will help me with an extended warranty.

4 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2014

The check engine light came on, called the dealer and he said bring it in and we did. They ran all kinds of test on the engine and they determined that the cam shaft was bad. The dealer was in contact with Chrysler headquarters ,there decision was to replace the entire engine.

5 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2014

My vehicle is a 2014 Dodge Charger rt max awd with a trnasmission problem. . . During 3-4 upshift check engine light was produced while driving between 30-40mph. Taken and serviced at marino cjd in chicago on 6/2/14. Valvebody assembly replaced. On 6/3/14 during 3-4 upshift between 35-45mph check engine light produced again and engine power lost for 6 seconds and then regained. Taken for service again to marino cjd. Technician related same problem again. Chrysler main office instructed dealership not to replace the valvebody assembly again as the problem will happen again. Chrysler main office aware of the existing problem in similar vehicles as well and stated no solution available at this time. Technician at dealership related vehicle unsafe to drive. No recall has been issued by Chrysler. Chrysler told the dealership to clear the check engine light code and give me back the vehicle knowing full well the vehicle is unsafe to drive in the condition its in. Vehicle still at marino dealership sitting in the lot. Please look into the problem as Chrysler doesn't care that I am without a vehicle that I purchased 2 months ago.
