Engine makes a weird noise when you turn it on and have it running sorta sounds like a truck. Brakes don't work sometimes you gotta step on the break petal all the way in if not you could possibly crash or hit another car parked near by. The control arms get stock a bit when doing a turn on 25mph-30mph.

Takata recall the suspension is shot. I am having to replace the my tires due to the bushings being junk and have ate my tires away on the inside down to the metal due to the toe positioning being incorrect. The control arms have been changed, but I am in fear the rear camber may be completely out. Also, sometimes my car does not want to turn over, but yet the battery, starter and alternator are fine. Also, my electrical system is a mess. I can't roll down my window unless I shut off my air or heat. Then when I turn on my air or heat all my interior lights go out. Plus, sometimes my tachometer doesn't want to work. I have replaced the engine and transmission, it is always maintained, but yet I feel like I am about to have to dump thousands of dollars into this cheaply made suspension. I have seen several Charger owners of the same year stating they have had these issues and if a recall can not be done then a class action lawsuit should be put into motion. I'm hoping Dodge will give us a chance to keep their customers, because at this morning I am ready to give up. I have always been a Dodge fan, but this time, on my favorite looking car, you all have dropped the ball!.

I replaced the struts in July and now the control arms in December. The shop I work with stated Dodge has a design flaw with these components and a recall should be in place. I reached out to Dodge and they said they have issued recalls for this with other vehicles, but not the Charger. I have paid over $1200 dollars to replace parts that I am told should be recalled.

Had a clunking noise in rear. Rt rear tire was wearing out premature. Found a loose bolt in rt rear upper control arm link and both sides had loose control arm bushings in the link arms. 4 total. One was actually bending the large washer out almost to the point of failure. If this happened the wheel would have become logged in the wheel well and caused the car to loose control.
I have a 2013 Dodge Charger v6. At around 45k miles I noticed a wobbly sound coming from the front end of my car when driving straight at a slow speed. The car didn't feel or drive wobbly it just sounded wobbly. Because my car is no longer under warranty I didn't want to have to pay the outrageous fee the dealership would charge to diagnose the problem so I took it to local mechanic shop instead. They told me the lower control arm bushings needed to be replaced. I was a bit surprised to learn this because bushings going out at only 45k miles is very premature. I did some research on this specific issue to find that lots of people are experiencing this problem. Police officers who drive 2009 - 2014 Dodge Chargers are having to replace the tension struts on both sides every 15-20 thousand miles due the bushings being torn. Chrystler should be responsible for the financial burden of replacing these parts not the consumer.

Tl - the contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that it was difficult to un-latch the buckle of the drivers seat belt. The contact stated the horn failed and was no longer operable. The contact stated when driving or applying the brakes there was a loud screeching noise. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The diagnosis was the lower control arm, the tie rod end, baring, needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred. The failure mileage was 53,000. Bt.
Premature busing and control arms failure, leading to loss of steering control and premature tire wear,harsh noise and poor absurbtion of road hazzards ( uneven roads, or pots holes lead to abrupt steering movement).
1. Normal driving on city streets and highways. 2. Ball joints and control arms wear within months of repair. Right side control arm broke and caused car to veer violently to the left with limited to no control of the vehicle by driver. Also significant damage to right side tire. 3. Vehicle had needed both control arms and ball joints repaired (again) due to vehicle upgrades by Dodge if one control arm is damage both control arms on vehicle must be replace along with tires which are usually damaged, causing the owner additional and unexpected costs.
My daughter had warped rotors replaced by local mechanic and informed she needed rack and pinion replaced. Also control arm and tie rod end. An extra $1100 on top of rotor costs. Is this car safe for her and her two year old son to be on the highways with ? Dodge should be ashamed. Submitted by concerned father/grandpa. Hope this saves a life.
Tl - the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the power steering assist failed and the steering wheel completely detached from the steering column. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the tie rod on the front passenger side was cracked. As a result, the inner and outer tie rods, as well as the control arm would need replacing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 85,000 and the current mileage was 114,000. Kmj.
