The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. While driving approximately 50 mph, a loud popping noise was heard from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear axle hub nut had to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v295000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 170,000.

2 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 08/10/2010

Wheel hub/bearing assembly failed at 96000km. Recently I noticed a different feel from right front wheel and inspection found the wheel bearing assembly was bad and required change.
