2006 Dodge Charger. Consumer writes in regards to faulty ignition switch. The consumer stated the vehicle had a transmission leak, and it shuddered, the sun roof rattled and the side trim fell off. A former transmission specialist, informed the consumer, the condensation drain for the air condition dripped onto the transmission and pooled around the transmission filler tube. When the vehicle reached a 140,000 miles, it began emitting white smoke, to the point where the consumer was unable to see out of his rear view mirror. An inspection revealed the valve seat of the #3 cylinder had dropped out, smashing two large holes one on each side of the piston, the size of a quarter. There was also a hairline crack across the apex of the piston hole-to-hole, the debris had pummeled the cylinder head. Also, debris from the damage had been sucked back into the inlet manifold depositing metal chunks into the #1 and #2 cylinders damaging the pistons and heads with small chunks of metal embedded in them. Updated 08/28/14.

My Dodge Charger r/t has had repeated sunroof leaks, the headliner looks awful and the sunroof was replaced a month ago and I'm still having problems, but now its on the other side of the vehicle. I'm tired of paying monthly for a vehicle to be put in the shop for a week at a time to fix a problem that is still a problem. I want Dodge to buy this vehicle back and they can make the payments.
2011 Dodge Charger. Consumer expresses discontent concerning Chrysler corporation
the consumer stated the vehicle would not start and Chrysler was aware there was an issue and never informed him. The consumer also stated the vehicle has a terrible blind spot, which was restrictive, as his body transgressed higher towards the back making it difficult seeing low hoods. Also, the rear window view was higher, apparently to allow more trunk space, which blocked the consumer from seeing, the hood when backing out of parking spaces. The consumer stated he could barely see the speedometer, the numbers were a lot smaller and difficult to read. Also, it was difficult to adjust the tilt wheel. The consumer stated he had to use extra strength to pull the wheel up or down. The consumer stated there was a drag in the vehicle, when he removed his foot from the accelerator, the vehicle would slow down more rapidly. Also, it was easy to accidentally move the shifter into a lower gear. Also, the transmission was not shifting properly.

Ohio traffic crash report # 10-0584-89.
I was in the center lane of traffic when I noticed a car coming up from behind me. To avoid getting hit I attempted to throttle down on the gas pedal to pass a car in the slow lane and get in front of him to avoid the speeder coming up behind me. In doing so I heard a snapping sound. I was able to get in the right lane(slow lane) and pull into a restaurant parking lot. I got out of my car and to my amazement saw my entire gas pedal assembly lying on the floor of my car. I was also amazed to see that the entire mounting bracket for the gas pedal is made of either a plastic or resin compound and from what I can tell so is the brake assembly. This does not seem like a strong enough material to be used on such crucial parts. The car was towed to my dealer and the pedal assembly is going to be replaced with the same part. I will be asking for the old part back.
