I brought my vehicle in for a recall to replace the airbags and headliner. When I received my car back from the dealership (union city Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram), the vehicle was returned with a broken windshield, water intrusion leading to mold, corroded and missing components, and now both rear doors do not function properly. These issues are safety concerns and were not present before the service. This dealership severely compromised the safety and usability of my car during a recall repair. I believe this warrants investigation and potential oversight from NHTSA, especially as this stemmed from a recall they were authorized to repair.
Unexpected vehicle movement from power train. I was changing my tire and the jack caused my vehicle body side to deform causing the vehicle to fall and nearly broke my leg.

Interior door panels are letting loose and detaching from frame. Seems seems to be rather unsafe with the side airbags and all. Many forums online from Dodge Charger owners with same issue on all (4) doors. We need help getting Dodge to recall this issue and help make it right. We are getting quotes of up to $3,500 to complete the repair and replace interior door panels.
I experienced an issue with the trunk lights on my 2018 Dodge Charger sxt plus, which would not illuminate when the trunk was open. Additionally, the dashboard display failed to indicate that the trunk was open. This posed a significant safety concern, as the car allowed me to drive without alerting me that the trunk was open. Normally, when the trunk is ajar, the vehicle displays a notification and prevents the car from being driven without addressing the open trunk. However, with the broken latch, no such alert occurred, and the car could be driven with the trunk accidentally left open. Furthermore, the remote start feature, which typically only works when all doors (including the trunk) are closed, was compromised. The car could be remotely started via the keyfob regardless of whether the trunk was open or closed. This is a serious safety concern, as the vehicle could be driven or left running with the trunk open without the driver’s knowledge. This repair cost $301 to fix. Repair details: date of repair: January 17, 2023 description of repair from dealership: trunk lights and dashboard indicator were non-functional, and no alert was provided when the trunk was left open. The latch was internally shorted, causing the malfunction. After the latch was replaced, the lights and notifications worked correctly, and the vehicle's safety functions returned to normal.

Door panel interior peeling off from door panel, causing issues with controls on the door.
The rear drivers side passenger door will not open from the outside, and it wont open from the inside either. If someone needed to get out of or in to this car in a hurry (say it was on fire) this would be very bad. The car has not had anything impact it on this side.
Car has strong smell of gas inside. Seeing by the other reports here that there is a regular problem with the fuel pump causing this issue. Is a safety hazard for obvious reasons. Drive shaft failed last year at less than 60,000 miles, but luckily had it replaced under dealership warranty. Others have not been so lucky, as I can see in these reports. Like tons of other reports here, door panels are also warping and disconnecting from the inside of the car. A completely cheap and poor design, and am shocked to see that nearly every problem I've experienced with this car is commonly experienced by other owners of this car. No idea how there haven't been more recalls, it's criminal that owners of this vehicle are left to foot the bill (thousands of $$$) for all of its defects.
All four of my vehicle doors panel are coming apart leaving all the wiring getting damaged by heat and cold. They have so many complaints about this matter and these dealerships are saying they not responsible for it. Total cost $2400.
While driving at highway speed, 40-50mph during heavy rain; encountered a puddle, the plastic belly pan just forward of the rear axle acted as a scoop and took on water. This resulted in the belly pan bolt being ripped from the structure of the vehicle. The belly pan then folded under the car and was dragged. I had this fixed under warranty. During the next heavy rain, I again hit a puddle, the bolt was ripped from the structure again. Luckily both times I was able to slow to a stop. However I believe this presents a serious hazard at freeway speeds of +65mph, where the entire belly pan can disintegrate and fly off into traffic. This is a defect in design and does not hold up to normal wear. It presents a very significant problem. When looking at car forums, it appears this problem is wide spread and presents a very real risk of hurting someone.

Chrysler/|Dodge 300's/charger have a known issue with door panel warping because of material or design defect. A judged rule 08/26/21 that there is an expressed warranty and that they should be repaired outside of the manufacture's warranty, which is when the defect shows up. I have tried both the dealership and customer care auburn hills, michigan to no avail. I am stuck with making the very costly repair myself on a vehicle that I can't sell for what should be its value without the defect showing. I am a disable veteran and a senior so neither of those prospect are appealing. What can I do to get the dealer to fix the defect in light of the judge's ruling or other consumer protection laws? I need to get a replacement vehicle and can't get a reasonable return on this investment with the defect. Please help me.
Door panel lifting away could cause vent to not work, door lock to not work and maybe airbag to not deploy properly. Foam is exposed.
Interior door panels are peeling apart, causing the inside of the door to be shown. This looks to be a manufacturing issue. The remedy should be to repair the panels or replace them. This is a known issue within the community of owners so I feel that this should be recalled. The problem is present on all 4 door panels.
Both of my front door panels and dash are peeling away. Took vehicle to redland's Dodge and was told there was nothing they could do. We were instructed to contact Dodge directly. Dodge corporate declined the claim, stating it was not manufacturer defect. I have noticed others Dodge owners with similar complaints.
The contact's son owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side door and panel detached from the door frame. The contact also stated that the front passenger’s side door was unable to lock due to the failure. The local dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure. Tim short superstore (250 cassidy blvd, pikeville, ky 41501:(606) 432-1716) was also contacted and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
Inside door panels started to separate from the door, this is causing my power locks malfunction on the driver side (the separation is causing a lock button to misalign with the hole in the door panel). This started approximately 2 weeks ago. This problem started with the driver side door and has now affected 3 of the for doors in the car. Of course it happened about 4 months past the 3 year Dodge warranty period.
Door panel is separating from the door and window on the passenger side.
Door panel is peeling off. It’s look like poor manufacturing quality.

This at about 5:30 am when I was getting in my car to go to work I noticed the panel on my driver side door was beginning to lift up. My car is rarely parked in the sun light because I park it in my garage at home and a shaded area at work.
The interior door panels on both front doors of my 2016 Dodge Charger sxt have warped and pulled away from the frame near the window area. The defect appears to be heat-related, and the panels have progressively worsened over time. This issue has not only affected the cosmetic integrity of the vehicle, but it also poses a safety risk by potentially interfering with side airbag deployment or window functionality. I believe this could compromise occupant safety in the event of a side-impact collision. The issue is visible and can be inspected upon request. The problem has not been officially confirmed by a Dodge dealer, but it is widely documented online and the subject of an active class action lawsuit [xxx] et al. V. Fca us llc). I reported this defect to carcomplaints. Com over three years ago and have seen other owners report identical issues with Chargers from similar model years. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or an insurance representative. There were no warning lights or messages related to this issue. The defect gradually became visible approximately two years after I purchased the vehicle. To date, no resolution or support has been provided by Dodge or fca despite the known and recurring nature of this problem. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The interior door panels on all four doors are lifting off and peeling away from the doors. The panels are peeling more and more every week. Eventually, it looks as though the panels will completely come off and expose the inner doors.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the door panel on the driver's side detached from the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to antioch Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram (1810 auto center dr, antioch, CA 94509) where he was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty and that he had to pay for the repair out of pocket. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
First my car would not detect my keys (even after I replaced batter). When I was driving the check engine light would randomly come on and off even after getting all repairs completed. One day it repeatedly flashed on and off and keeps constantly. My car was also jumping and vibrating extremely hard and the engine was ticking. Going slow or slowing down, my car has a hard time turning. I went to autozone and ran an diagnostics. Afterwards I took it to the Dodge dealership and told them what I was experiencing and what the diagnostic said. I still haven't gotten it fixed. Moreover, my car is still at the dealership and I do not have a rental. The last time I took my car in for recalls, I was told they didn't have any rentals and I would have to purchase my own. Also, they never told me that the recall with my brake chocks weren't replaced. The individuals working in the service department didn't act really professional. They were demeaning and squaring me of things that I didn't do or agree to.
Tl-the contact was renting a 2019 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at 30mphan crossing a railroad track the vehicle was involved in a crash the vehicle was tboned on the passanger side. The other vehicle might have ran through a stop sign. There were no injuries and no police report was filed. Non of the air bags deployed. Both vehicles were driven to a nearby parking lot and the driver's exchanged insurance information. The passanger side door was completely smashed in and unable to be opened. The vehicle was able to be driven away and required no towing. The failure mileage was 49,737. Tf.
My car is a 2017 Dodge Charger. . . Passenger side door panel is warp baddly. . . Driver minimal. . . Notice it beginning June 2020. . . Warranty expire before it develop.
All four door panels on my 2017 Dodge Charger are lifted from the door. This began to occur approximately 2 months ago. I believe that this issue happened when the car is parked outside.
The driver and passenger interior door panels are warping near the window seal. The interior of the door assembly is exposed which will likely cause additional problems. A simple search on the internet reveals that this is a very common problem.
Front passenger door panel lifting. You can see the white body door frame from the outside of the window.
Panel on the driver inside is separating from door frame. Certain panel on both side is separating.
The inside door panels on the front and rear passenger's side of the vehicle are peeling and detaching from the door frames.
Driver and passenger side door panels are warped and detaching from the top of the panel where panel meets the window. Vehicle was taken into dealership for assistance and panel could not be fixed. Technicians notifed me this is a common issue with the 2016 model and to replaced each door panel wood be $700 per panel plus labor cost. Current forums discuss same issue . This is a manufacturer defect!.
Went to get in the vehicle one morning and the door handle on the driver side will not open from the outside but will open from the inside, I believe the screw had come out, and went to get in the vehicle this morning and notice the panel on the passenger side door panel peel up from the top of the door where the lock is.
