Driving car down highway car at approximately 55-60 accelerates does a 180 and continues down the highway in reverse at 60-70 miles per hour for approximately 1/2 mile before being stopped by running in to ditch. I has 2 hands on the wheel at all times thank god nothing stopped the car from going into reverse and not sure how transmission was able to go into reverse without depressing brake or touching shift lever. There were barriers on both sides and no shoulder the car did the 180 without crashing into barriers I was in left lane going forward after 180 was in left lane going in reverse car was going pretty straight in reverse knew I had to stop car but not too fast knew was going to hit something because road does not have many straight point as I slowed the car the back end slid down hill off side of road the car did not slow down.

I drive to work every day and I can feel my car shacking while I have the car on drive. I have experienced my vehicle sliding of the road with out control. Also my breaks has lost control on me while driving 20 mph. These issues im experiencing are very dangerous and I don't feel safe at all driving my vehicle even if im driving slow. The last occurrence happened 9/12/18, but this has been an ongoing issue. I don't understand why these issues are not reported as a safety issue and considered as a recall.

The car does with no warning. You loose power steering, brakes, and acceleration abilities. It has happened twice on a small street going about 35 and another on freeway going 70. I was able to get in safety lanes and start car back. I have not driven since it did on freeway. No codes appear when this has happened.
I was in line at tim horton's, I had ordered, but not yet paid. I had my foot on the brake (car was stationary), and the as the car in front of me moved up, I depressed the brake to roll the car forward. The car began accelerating on it's own. With my foot still on the brake, I pushed the brake to the floor at which point the abs struggled to slow the acceleration down. The result of the incident is my car only came to a stop once I hit the car in front of me. I looked down once the car stopped moving and clearly only saw my foot on the brake with the brake pressed all the way to the floor. Luckily the only real damage was some flaked paint on the front of my car. The other car, as well as myself decided the issue was not worth reporting to the insurance companies. I immediately called my dad, who told me to call the dealer. I then called the dealer whom said do not drive the car, and get the car towed to them for diagnosis. The car was towed to the Dodge/Jeep dealership in which I bought the car in 2007. This issue has never happened before, in the 11 years I've owned the car.

While in motion on a city street it highway the speed control will no longer turn on when on/off button is pressed.
My car will not accelerate over 40mph. I went to the mechanics and it said that the transmission computer isn't functioning correctly. I looked up this issue online and this is an ongoing issue with these cars. I contacted Dodge they said since there is no recall then they can't do anything.
When driving down the interstate (August 2017 with 130k miles on the dash) I suddenly lost throttle response and I could not accelerate. At this point motor began to shake as I coasted to the edge as my car shut off while still in the run position. A red lighting bolt appeared and my vehicle did not want to start. After attempting to start several times the car finally started. Took it to a dealer in garden city michigan where they could find nothing wrong. The lighting bolt light was gone and only a check engine light remained. Fast forward two months later the same thing happened but I could not get the car to start and it was towed to the same dealer with a dead battery this time. They kept it for several days but could not pin point the issue I. E. Bad throttle body, bad fuel pumps etc. However no codes were found because the battery died. The week before thanksgiving same situation, lost throttle response car shut off got the red bolt , battery died. Towed to aaa where I had to purchase a new battery and again no codes were found. Again this happened today while on the interstate traveling at about 80mph. Are there any tips or documentation of similar problems with the red bolt light? ive had dealership mechanics with 30+ years experience get lost with this issue. They have comes up with options but nothing concrete. I will soon be force to start guessing and checking or just get rid of the vehicle all together.

(no dealer info) tl the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. While reversing the vehicle, it accelrated on its own from 15 to 50 mph. As a result, the contact's vehicle struck three other vehicles. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,000.
While driving down the road all the park reverse neutral and drive lights started having flashing squares around them and a 8 appeared at the end of them. Then the transmission started getting stuck at high speed and nearly made me loose control.
I was driving home from work on the freeway and had to change lanes to go around a slower vehicle. As I depressed the accelerator pedal it snapped off and fell on the floor causing a hazardous condition as I could no longer control the speed of the vehicle. I was able to make it home by leaning down and depressing the pedal with my hand while holding on to the steering wheel with the other. I contacted Dodge to try and get reimbursed for the repair that I made myself but they said they could not do anything for me. There are numerous complaints contained in on line forums about this happening to the same and/or similar Chrysler vehicles.
Speedometer quit working, car jumps hard into reverse and drive, will not shift out of first gear, code u0100, u1120, u0121, u0103, replaced computer and had no change of condition, no transmission dipstick to check fluid, a must take to dealer item that is not sensible.
Vehicle accelerates on its on, and when barely pressing the gas while in motion on city streets and highways.

My car has cut off and turned right back on several times. I have taken it to the dealer and there are 0 issues.
takata recall driving my vechicle on city roads is fine, the vechicle runs perfectly but taking it in the highway is another problem. Picking up highway speeds the dashboard begins to shake as well as the steering wheel. It happens when I reach 80mph and is a concern to me. I've never experienced a problem like that in a vechicle so I thought it was a problem and told the dealership where I brought the vechicle from. Unfortunately the problem wasn't resolved so I'm askinging is this a problem I should worry about.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 178,000.
Lost steering and acceleration while traveling on the highway. This occurred within minutes after the vehicle entered "battery saver mode" and displayed the "battery" icon on the evic screen. This was the first and only indication of a problem, other than the radio not working that day. After pulling over, was able to restart the car, exit the highway, and pull into a service station. While attempting to park, the car would not shift out of drive into park, nor would the car shut down, until the push-button ignition switch was held down for several seconds. An electrical test revealed that the alternator had failed, and the battery tested good. Both the alternator and the battery are the original factory-installed parts.

I was driving my vehicle around 65-70 mph on the freeway when I went to step on my break pedal the vehicle did not slow down when I went to change lanes due to this my GS pedal would not go faster after either. A indicator light appeared in my cluster but I was unable to read it due to my panic of loosing my breaks and gas pedal. Late that night I took it to huntington beach Dodge and Jeep service and service advisor bob said that there was a system code that indicated loss signal to breaks and gas pedals. The repair order indicated that the break and gas pedal was not calibrated properly causing the issue. This is great concer to being that it is a safety matter that can cause a accident or that can result in great bodily injury or death. I had tow friends in the car with me at the time too.
I was on the freeway when my cars lights started flashing and would get on battery saver mode and was hard trying to steer on to emergency lane until it completely shut off on me. Luckily I was half way on the slow lane and safe lane. It would not turn on and it started smoking when I tried getting out I was completely locked in and could not turn on the car to place it on park or open the doors. I had to get out through the window that I already had down. I then had to call my boyfriend to pick up the car in a trailer. When I was out the car I noticed red/pinkish water coming out of the car.

My 2014 Dodge Charger is brand new off the lot of lhm Dodge in tucson, az. By 13,978 my car smelled like sulfur while in motion. Driving sluggishly, and the "battery saver mode" light on. Brought into larry h miller for repair. Was told the alternator needed replaced after 13,975 miles on the vehicle. At 14,100 miles the vehicle was making the same smell, and the battery safer mode light was on again . Returned it to lhm with complaints. Battery saver mode light was still on, smelled like sulfur and car was driving sluggish. I opened case with corporate. They "fixed" it, and sent me on my way. On June 17, 2016, my vehicle was driving sluggishly, the engine light on, called Dodge immediately and was assigned a case manager. I called jim click immediately to get my vehicle in. My vehicle was 23,900 miles. Dodge claimed they could not get me in until July 1st and that its "fine to drive my vehicle as long as the light isn't flashing". Brought in for "repair" on June 1st. I drove a rental car from Friday June 1st-June 8th, the "cluster" in the dash was not reading and needed to be replaced. I was told it was "all fixed". When the vehicle pulled up I got in and began to pull away as my dashboard went black. I turned around. My advisor brought it back and explained that it needed to be "reset" but that he'll order a new cluster. I get into my vehicle there is an "error" sign where the milage is supposed to be. I that I didn't feel comfortable driving this vehicle. I expressed how upset I was about the situation and he said to me "you'll be fine to drive it, it won't shut off". I get home started it, and the entire dash shuts off. My car is now being towed again to jim click Dodge.

All lights on the dash light up/flash then after a few seconds everything go back to normal. Have happened several times while driving. And on two occasions the power steering fuses had to be replaced because they keep getting blown out. Have had alternator exchanged at last recall. Fearful that vehicle may stop in the line of traffic on the highway! have video of incident as it was happening. No pictures.
