One problem related to alternator/generator/regulator has been reported for the 2002 Dodge Dakota. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving during raining weather, the power steering became inoperable and the alternator died. Dealer stated that he heard about this problem, but could not reproduce it yet. Alternator light comes on and steering is stiff while driving through rain.
