After receiving my car from the dealership the engine light came on so I contacted them about it and he hooked it up tp machine told me to watch for the light again and let him know. I dont drive my car much so it was about a week later when I noticed the engine light again so I took it to oreilley's and the code p2096 which is fuel to ratio which has been a problem more then I can count. My car always smells like gas fumes that's why I try not to drive it unless I can keeps windows down because the smell is very strong. I was driving today and it kept stalling and when ii would start to go from a dead stop once it shifted into 2nd it would jerk real hard like the transmission is messed up again. The light of course comes back on after they clear ut out and it may have same code or it may be different each time. I am tired of risking my life and others because no one wants to do anything about this problem I've had for 6 years now and have so many odi complaints with NHTSA and complaints with fca I could have my own car complaint website. I would love to have them take my car in for testing of quiality of cars and prove to everyone this was a lemon car no if, ands, or butts about it. There is 1 in however many cars that are lemons and this is one of them. 550 days in the shop being fixed that many times that for more then an entire year my car was being worked on. Should that be enough or is someones life gonna be what opens eyes. I've got ,more documents to show the many many problems I have had and have passed them along to my attorney so if something happens in result of this unsafe car there will be action taken.

The car stalls while driving at below highway speeds, eg crossing an intersection in suburban new jersey. The engine cuts out, random messages on the information center appear, and the drive must coast to a stop and restart the car. It's unpredictable and intermittent, with no obd code to help dealer diagnose or replicate. The cause is presently unknown despite dealer effort.

This car has gone through cylinders, spark plugs, 3 batteries including the factory one, throttle control computer all in less than 50k miles. Never gets more than 10k miles before there is another issue, quite possible the worst vehicle I have ever purchased and there's no doubt in my mind after reading forum after forum of the exact same issues experienced by hundreds if not thousands of other owners and dealer responses that there was good reason to discontinue the production of this model and the model years thereafter. Unfortunately, we are all stuck with payments on cars that put us at significant safety risk because of frequent and random stall outs, including one that happened to myself at highway speed, and another on a dark desolate country road, and fca won't do anything about it other than offer a 5% discount on a brand new vehicle, for which comparable size and price no longer exists within the brand. This car is the definition of a lemon, we bought it certified used from Dodge after the car had a single owner and with neither the dealership nor the brand offering any sort of significant assistance in remedying this product defect other than repairs within warranty that keep us on the road for another month before the next breakdown, we are forced to pay for and drive a vehicle that puts our family at risk even more than in general. Unbelievable.

My car has stalled while I am driving on public roads. After taking it into the dealership, they said there is nothing that they could do. It has now happened 4 times. The first time I was pulling out of my high school parking lot going about 10-15 mph. The second time was pulling out of the dealership servicing department going about 35 mph. The third time was in my driveway while going about 5 mph. The last time was on a straight away going about 45 mph the steering and brakes locked up and I had to forcibly turn the steering wheel to get the car to the shoulder. The car has also ben in the shop numerous times due to issues with the tire pressure sensors, the central computer, and the display screen. Overall, the car has over 30 pages of service done on it, ranging form 2,600 miles to 37,000 miles. I just was informed by the Chrysler resolution team that my car will not be bought back or no compensation will be given. I cannot drive the car, because it is unsafe to be n the road for myself and those on the road with me. If the car were to stall on the freeway, I could be killed or seriously injured.

When I am putting my car in gear I have my foot on the brake and the car accelerates at full speed while my foot is still on the brakes. I can also be at a stop light and the car will accelerate at full speed while stationary. My reverse also doesn't go backwards at a normal speed, it also stalls as I am attempting to reverse.
I have had multiple issues with my car since I got it. I have been through three radios, an entirely new turbo was installed one year after purchasing the car. Then things were going well until recently. I have had the car in the shop about 3 weeks in a row. First it was one of my coils that had become inactive. So while driving it the car shakes and stutters. While driving on the highway I try to hit the gas and the car starts slowing down and shaking. So I had taken it to another shop to look at it because for a new car it is not in my finances to be putting $400 into my car every week. Had to get the part ordered so I am currently driving my car around with one coil inactive. Then in the midst of all this happening, one week after the coil had officially went inactive, it was back in the shop because my emergency brake all of a sudden became really loose and when I wasn't moving the car would roll. Which means the emergency brake wasn't doing its job. So that night I took it over to the dealership to have them look at it yet again. They called me the next day and said that my left rear caliber had seized which is described to me that it wasn't grabbing and releasing the wheel like it should have which also caused my brakes and rotors to wear so much that they had to be replaced. Which this was something I could not just let go, or even drive the car with, I had to pay the dealership over $400 to just fix my car so that I could drive it. I cannot believe all the trouble that I am going through for a car that is not even 5 years old.
9/03/15 my transmission went out without warning while going approx 65 mph on the highway. Rpm's shot up and the trans went out instantaneously. I was able to pull over, engine and trans lights came on, car would not go in any gear. I shut the car off and was not able to restart it, meanwhile I sat like a sitting duck waiting for a tow truck, hoping that the speeding cars and semi trucks approaching would not crash into me. I had the car towed to a dealer. Dealer said the cause was a flashed pcm, it was reprogrammed I was told it fixed the problem. On 9/05/15 1 hour after coming home from work the car would not start again. Dealer was closed for the weekend so I let it sit for a while, 2 hours later the car started but would not go in reverse, an hour later, the car had reverse but no drive. The next morning the car started, all lights were off and all gears worked and I was able to drive it to the dealer. The dealer said codes were now showing it was the trans range sensor. Got the car back for the 2nd time on sept. 16. Sept. 19 I was driving home from work in the next state, the trans went out again while going 65 mph on the highway again! this time I was left stranded over 70 highway miles from home. After waiting a few hours I was finally was able to drive home, taking take side roads in case the car stopped again. What should've been a 1 1/2 hour ride home on the interstate took me over 5 hours driving on side roads. This car is going back to the dealer again for the 3rd time in 2 1/2 weeks! this is unacceptable, there are too many reports involving this issue on several websites I do not feel safe driving this car anymore or having my wife and kids in it. This is an extremely serious safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately! something needs to happen before (not after) this "known" transmission stalling issue causes a serious accident and kills someone!.
When getting into my car in the morning or after work (any time the car has been sitting for a while), the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and doesn't come back up. I cannot put my car into gear or even start the car. I have to pump the clutch pedal for a few minutes until I have a little pressure to even start my car. My car stalled out twice from this when entering a parking garage and I almost hit another car because of this. After driving the car for 2-3 miles the clutch seems to come back to normal pressure and I can shift fine at that point.
I always let my car warm up, especially when it's cold. The weather started to get better and twice I stopped at a red light and the car almost stalled. I had to put the car in neutral and pump the gas to stop it from stalling completely. I know it's not the gas because it happened within two different time periods. At the time the temp was in the low 30's. I also notice when it's very cold the car makes a screech when it's started. Although there is a power train recall (n32) my VIN has not been addressed. I do not want to drive down the street and stall with my two-year-old in it.
2013 Dodge Dart equipped with a 1. 4-liter engine and dual-clutch transmission had 3 incidents on 2 different days - safety hazard! faulty mechanics! 1/13 - vehicle stalled when turning right onto on-ramp at interstate going 35mph, took several tries to get vehicle restarted 1/14 - vehicle stalled when turning right onto outer road going 45mph, almost got rear-ended! 1/14 - vehicle stalled after turning right from on-ramp at interstate going 70mph, almost got hit! we researched issues and found there is a recall for this exact problem, but I wasn't notified as my VIN wasn't on the recall list. What?! I encountered two close calls and when calling Chrysler was told there was nothing they could do if my VIN was not on the recall list. I don' get it, I thought the manufacturer or NHTSA could put a VIN on the recall list. What do I have to do to get my vehicle on this list? do I need a lawyer to do this? please advise as to what my next steps are to get my VIN on the recall list. Seriously dissatisfied.
Vehicle was driven then when coming to an intersection the vehicle downshifted hard. Upon going through the intersection the vehicle stalled and then became inoperable. Vehicle would not start or even crank. Vehicle has been in the dealer for many electrical and transmission issues and we got really lucky there was no accident in the intersection.
Vehicle stalls at any speed. Also intermittent hard starting.
Attempting to pull out into traffic the vehicle did not accelerate and stalled with the front quarter of the vehicle in oncoming traffic. Vehicle was quickly put into park and reversed into safety.
When attempting to start my Dart, the clutch pedal will have no tension in it. The pedal will go straight down to the floor with no effort and will stick down. I have to use my foot to pull it back up. The car will also not go into gear when this occurs. You have to either turn the car off or let it stall, then pump the clutch 10-20 times in order to get the tension needed. Sometimes this doesn't help at all and you have no choice but to attempt to drive it. This is extremely unsafe! fca knows there is an issue, they've extended the warranty to 60,000, but my car having 83,xxx miles they don't care. First extended service corporation who I purchased an "extended service agreement" through doesn't care either. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the representative flat out told me "no" and hung up. I've been having this problem for well over a year. We've contacted the dealership and others around and they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty. This is a safety concern, how is it not a recall?!?.
Sitting idle in drive-thru car started smoking heavily under the hood and thru the interior vents. Finally stalled. Got it restarted but it would not go into gear. After about 30 minutes, it finally went into drive and I drove it immediately to the nearest Dodge dealer. After a week, they found the dual clutches both needed replaced. Was told that I would have to put the car in n whenever sitting at an idle longer than a few seconds. (this is unacceptable to me). Was also told that I was not to 'ride' the brake. Either "be on in or off of it". (this is also unacceptable to me. ) also, car revs up to ~5,000rpms before shifting from 1st to 2nd but (of course) never does it when I leave it for the dealer. Am not happy with my purchase. My dealer has been good but I will not be buying another Dodge. I buy new for safety, security and reliability and with this vehicle, I feel I have none of the 3. The lease cannot be over soon enough.
