When taking off from a dead stop it hesitates and jerks if you give it too much gas every time you turn the steering wheel or slow to a stop something popping in the front end if you take off too fast it'll backfire little pops the check engine lights always coming on saying that we have multiple misfires when we don't when the check engine lights on the automatic start doesn't work and when the check engine light comes on and traction control light is blinking.
The car stalls. . . Normally after slowing down & turning. Transmission inoperable code along with check engine light. Very dangerous.
Again here I am with a check engine light on and my car is bucking and unsafe!!! I will bring it in tomorrow but I bought a tool that reads codes here are the codes p0352 error ignition coil b primary/ secondary circuit malfunction. And cylinder 2 misfire unsafe to drive. This happened while driving. You just picked up the car for same thing on June 10!!!!! less than 10 days and it is acting up again. Do you want me to get into a bad accident. Because I am scared to death to drive my car. This is about 6th time in less than 6 months for same issues.
Dodge Darts of this model year including mine have a problem with the turbocharger. Problems within the setup create a "turbo underboost" condition, which prompts a check engine light, and throws the car into limp mode. This is often accompanied by a lack of power from the engine and a rough idle, or stalling at idle. In my case it happened while I leaving a city, and I did not have the power to accelerate to highway speed. After pulling over and re-starting the car, this issue is temporarily resolved. This is such an issue with this model year that there is a north America wide back-order on the new-turbo with this issue corrected. For many like me, this expense is out-pocket or for a lucky few, still covered by factory warranty. I believe that the frequency and severity of this issue warrants a recall and proper fix if the turbocharger setup. The issue is corrected on 2014+ model years, which is an indication that fca was aware of the issue.
Since March 2019 check engine light has come one 3 times. My car has either stalled in middle of intersection and/or has a bucking sensation and then check engine turns on. This is unacceptable that it keeps occurring. One time they replaced battery, next time recall v34 and again today. There has to be something going on with this model. I do not feel safe. This happens while I am driving.
Check engine light always on reads under boost for the turbo, does not pick up speed at all for having a turbo.
Air bag lights is on check engine lights car running hot fam turning in wrong directions I keep putting brake fluid in once a week heat come on m off when it feel like it tire lite I keep spending money for tires head rest is not normal it pushes my neck out when I'm driving now my neck n back hurts.
While vehicle was in motion and I proceeded to make a right hand turn the vehicle stalled out causing me to shift the gear into park before starting the vehicle back up. But as I tried starting the vehicle it hesitated to start and I had to wait a moment maybe three to seven minutes before I was able to get the vehicle started again only to have it stall out again while making another right hand turn. I also noticed the interior lights flashing on the dash as well as a blinking check engine light appearing.
I was driving on freeway and check engine light came on. Next day took it to local shop and read code p0299 turbocharger under boost. Was told turbo needed to be replaced. Called Dodge and got an estimate of about $1500 to replace the turbo. Would not cover under warranty.
I started having issues with my Dart 2 years after I bought it, tcm lost communication while traveling 70+ mph down highway had to tow car. Had tcm flashed(repair 1), drove 2-3k mile more, happened again, brought it to a different dealership said they replaced tcm (repair 2, before tcm recall was issued. ) about 10k miles later had to bring it back, had tcm flashed again (repair 3), about 10k miles later tcm has problem again while traveling 40+ miles down a very busy city street and need to tow vehicle, this new dealership replaced tcm again (repair 4 after tcm recall is issued, 4k miles later car is now throwing check engine lights for bcm, and pcm which I am told is connected to the tcm. I am in the process of filing a lemon law claim against Chrysler, a three year old car that I paid almost $30,000 should not cause so much stress. I cannot allow my family to be in danger, I have been lucky that neither issue resulted in a car accident. Chrysler needs to buy my vehicle back. I do not wish to talk to them about servicing the vehicle again, or trading them for a newer vehicle as they have lost my trust as a company.
Problems since day 1 with my 2013 Dodge Dart. The clutch would stick in and I would have to pop it up with my foot. I would take my car in and even left it for a couple days and they just told me they couldn't reproduce the problem. And the "specialist" said what I was telling them about the clutch was impossible! so I started videoing and posting my clutch issues on youtube. The radio switches stations by itself, it goes off or won't come on. I've had the radio replaced and it still does the same thing! I've had battery issues with the battery draining and ultimately being replaced. The cruise control works about half the time. Dealership ended up replacing the clutch, had my car back 2 days and the clutch went out again. June 11th 2015 took my car in immediately when the rear brake started sticking. They had my car two days and said they adjusted the brake but couldn't reproduce the sound I heard coming from my rear passenger tire. So two weeks go by and I take my car back again demanding they take another look at it. By now the right rear caliber is stuck in and has ruined my rotor and brake pad. Later my car starts spitting and sputtering. Take it to the dealership and they said the only thing they could find wrong is the air flow pipe to the turbo was loose and they tightened it. I decided to go to a new mechanic, he said one of my ignition coils blew. 8 months later my car starts doing the same thing and my mechanic says another ignition coil blew. And he cannot get one for my exact car because they are all on back order with Dodge! he also informs me that there are 3 computers in my car and they are not talking to each other. It took them a while to figure out it was the ignition coil because the computer did not alert that to their tester. Now my check engine light is on again and after 3 technicians looked at my car they said I need a new turbo.

When we are driving the car, it will start to shudder when the check engine light comes on and within a minute the abs system will turn on. When the abs system turns on, you can actually feel the braking trying to stop the car. This has happened at all different speeds, from 20 to 30 mph up to highway speeds at 70 mph. You cannot shut of the abs system with the safety switch when it turns itself on. We have pulled over, turned the engine off and restarted the car. This does not always seem to work. We have turned off the abs system when we have started the car, but the computer in the engine will override this and has turned it back on. When that happens, it starts to try braking again while we are driving down the road. We have had the car back to the dealership several times trying to get this resolved, but they have not been successful in solving this problem. The dealership has called Chrysler to find out what to do about this problem. They were told to change the ignition coil power pack, which they did. When the car was returned to us, it started this same problem again. The last time we took it in (April 2015) the dealership kept it for two weeks and was unable to recreate the problem. Since that time it has done this to us twice, but before we could get it to the dealership for repair, it corrected itself. Has anyone else had this problem?.
While driving, the car sounds an audible alert, the check engine light goes on, and displays "service transmission" on the car's dash/display. When this happens, the car drops into neutral and I do not have access to any gears. Attempting to shift into neutral and back into drive displays a "gear not available" message on the car's dash/display. The car had to be towed to the dealer, or if I power the car down and start it back up, I can get the gears back, but the check engine light remains on and the car does not shift properly and the car is sluggish. This car is the 1. 4l turbo with a dual dry clutch transmission. This problem has happened three times now within the last 1. 5 months. The first time, the dealer did a "refresh" on the computer and stated that the computer had to "relearn" the transmission. The second time (12/09/2014) the dealer said the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The third time occurred today (12/16/2014) and it is at the dealer now waiting on someone to look at it. Today when this happened, it was very difficult to get my car across three lanes of traffic and onto the shoulder of a major highway in new jersey. This almost caused an accident which would have resulted in serious injury as it would have involved a motor vehicle accident with an 18-wheeler semi-truck.
On the interstate driving 80mph, went to accelerate and the car just revved up to 7500rpm, like it was in neutral. Checked the gear shift and tried again with only getting the car to rev. Pulled over to the side of the road and turned the car off for about 10 minutes, turned it back on it acted like the transmission wasn't catching. Not once did it show any check engine light or any other warnings. Had it towed to the dealership where it took them 2 days to replicate the problem and then it finally turned on the check engine light. It has been being repaired for over a week now because no one seems to know what exactly is wrong with it even though it had a check engine light for the transmission control module.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that it took multiple attempts to start the vehicle. The check engine warning light illuminated. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the battery and sensor transmission range were replaced but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the failure worsen, resulting in the vehicle failing to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000. Jo.
I started having headaches shortly after purchasing the vehicle (2013 Dodge Dart). The headaches continued to worsen, so I finally went to the doctor, had CT scan and was finally diagnosed with having migraines. I wasn't aware that it was the car until it was in the shop for repair for recirculating air issues and I didn't drive it for a week (December 2014). Once we received the car back from the dealership (not fixed) I was really sick (horrible migraine) the next day due to the fumes. I haven't rode in the car since December 19, 2014. I haven't had a migraine since around December 20-21, 2014. The car was dropped off on January 2, 2015 by my husband because the check engine light came on and to have the recirculate air fixed. The vehicle was ready on January 8, 2015 but was not picked up until January 9, 2015. On January 9, 2015, my husband picked the car up and drove it around for little while. He then went to pick our daughter up from school and she begin coughing immediately because the recirculate air went out again. I have contacted Dodge customer service several times regarding this vehicle and to no avail. I contacted them today (January 9, 2015) and they wanted us to drive the car back to the dealership for repair. I guess they want the fumes to cause someone to pass out along the way. Dodge customer service is having a case manager review my complaint, however, I am stuck with a vehicle that I cannot drive. I contacted the the lienholder to surrender the vehicle on March 5, 2015.
While accelerating the vehicle began to randomly sputter/hesitate. Check engine light illuminated with fault code (p0352) and continued to sputter/hesitate during acceleration process. After diagnosis it appears the engine's ignition control system is failing and has been for some time. According to dealership, this is not covered outside basic warranty or any known recall.
I have had my 2013 Dodge Dart only 2 years and am so frustrated with the purchase. It has been in the shop several times with multiple issues. Just yesterday I had to put it in the the shop to have the navigation system fixed. The dealership stated there was not a problem that I needed to subscribe to the navigation service. Are they kidding me, I called Chrysler and they said it was a faulty unit, due to the fact it goes completely out with a white screen and it just does not work. The check engine light comes on constantly, the engine is running rough. I have already had to replace the battery at my cost of $150. 00 not happy about that one. The speedometer is incorrect, the interior light rattles and drives me crazy on long trips. I have had to taken it in for several front end alignments at my cost. It just will not stay aligned, its so frustrating and costly. But the real scary item is when it felt like I was in neutral while driving and had low to no engine power while driving, I slowly pulled over to the side of the ride and turned the key off and the engine was still going, I took the key out of the ignition and it was still cranked. I am praying that they get these cars off the road and put them in a buy back program because they are a danger to the public. I am so upset and disappointed with my Dodge that I will not purchase another.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the engine stalled, the transmission seized, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA campaign: 13v238000 (power train). However, the failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two occasions, the transmission was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
