Pressed break pedal to place shift vehicle into drive. While pressing pedal, I heard an audible popping noise and felt a spring like vibration through the break pedal. After the noise the car slowly started to roll forward despite break being pressed. Now when pressing the break, there is a hard pressure/resistance along with a loud hissing noise. To attempt to stop the vehicle, the break pedal has to be pressed extremely hard. The breaks are unable to stop the car in a safe distance.
