The car dies while driving. Check engine light goes on. Will start back up but just dies and code read doesn't explain why or what might be needed. Have replaced battery, thermostat even though never ran hot, and oil+filter. Has gas.
As driving down the road after about a mile from home my car would no longer move but glide along. The engine was shut off and I had no control over speed. You can step on the gas and it will not move. Rpm's drop and the motor turns off in drive. After this happens the car hesitates to start but will. There is no check engine light on and all statistics for the car were as they should be. The battery is showing correct voltage. The cause is unknown.
Car stalled in the middle of a public street several times and wouldn't start at times before it finally just left me stranded. During these times there was no error on the screen letting me know what the problem was so I just kept trying to drive it. Then after awhile the check engine light turned on a few times but it was at random times and did not stay on. The car only has 18000 miles and I've only had it for 2 years. The dealer replaced the battery but did not check to see what was causing the battery to die so quick. They just told me that I don't drive it enough and that I stop and start it too much because I work too close to home. . . (this is not my first car and that's never happened before). This was not the first time I had this car serviced. The entire first year I kept getting an error that the tire pressure was too low and I was told that it was just an issue with the computer system but I had to replace the tires right away on a brand new car. So it's also had issues with the tires/wheels on a brand new car. People buy new cars to avoid these problems!.
Takata recall this 2014 Dodge Dart aero has now had multiple problems with the clutch and axles. It is currently in the shop to have the slave cylinder for the clutch as well as the axles fixed for the second time in 2 years. They are also in the process of checking in to why the check engine light came on for the mass air flow sensor. This makes 2 times that it has gone to the shop for clutch and axle issues. They also don't know what the real problem is for the check engine light. I have asked them to buy the car back and they wont. They also stated that I may be having to pay some out of pocket to get my car fixed this time. This car is nothing but problems. Like I mentioned before; twice for the clutch and axles, the engine light is on for a reason they don't know other that they think it is the mass air flow sensor, the third time I took it to Dodge for an oil change they told me that no oil came out of the engine and then tried to explain to me that my engine was "known" to do that. Now I have just gotten off the phone with the manufacturer customer service and they replied with they will cover all the costs except for $100. Seems kind of odd to settle on that amount. Plus they wont buy it back. Therefore, this car is known to have clutch and engine problems and Dodge expects me to drive around not having to worry about if my life is at risk. I should also mention that the tires that came on the car were faulty as well as I had to replace two of them already. The bands on the inside of the tire came loose and caused problems with the driving as well. This is junker car that I purchased new and Dodge could care less that it is falling apart.
Bought a 2014 Dodge Dart 2 years. Had no problems with it till recently when car started to shut off while running in motion. I lost power steering control and power to the whole car. Incident happened on four different occasion. Three times on residential road and once on freeway. Completely a safety issue and has put my life in danger multiple times. Electronic throttle control, electronic stability control light, and check engine light turned on. Contacted Chrysler Dodge and their solution was to have me tow car to dealership and pay to have car serviced even though car is still under warranty. Car has put my life and the life of other people in danger multiple times and the company seems to not care even after contacting them formally with complaint.
