1 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 10/05/2011

While driving nb on southwest highway in palos the light changed to yellow, then red, I applied the brakes and the vehicle was slowing down as normal. Suddenly the brake pedal hit the floor as if the hydraulics fluid had been let out of the brake system. The abs and brake light went on and I could hear the anti lock system making noise. I pumped the brakes quickly and car stopped in just enough time to prevent an accident. I pulled to the side of the road and opened the hood to inspect the fluid levels, they were perfect, no leaks either. I restarted the car and the abs and brake light went out, the brakes do not appear to be working correctly however, I will have a mechanic check them out on Friday.

2 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2004

While driving into the driveway abs brake light and the emergency brake light came on. There was a loud noise that came from the front. The wheel, hub, and bearing came completely off the vehicle causing it to slump over. Consumer had the vehicle serviced. However, the same noise could still be heard. Also, there was vibration from the front of the vehicle when driving. Provide further details. After all the repairs the vehicle started vibrating.

3 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/22/2002

Abs is not working, and when I bought the used SUV I didn't notice that the abs light on the dash was going out but at the same time the red brake light was going out. 9 seconds instead of 3 seconds like mitchel says. I checked the bill of sale and found that the mileage that was written on it was not the mileage that I bought it at. I never noticed that before. My brother drove the SUV in the winter with snow on the road and he told me that the abs was not working, then I tried it and saw for myself.

4 Brake Light On problem
