Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problems of the 2000 Dodge Durango

My 2000 Dodge Durango has had problems with the ball joints and had to be replaced. This was at a low milage. . . Now it seems to be having the same problem again.

Consumer is requesting reimbursement for damages resulting from an accident in the 2000 Dodge Durango. The vehicle front wheel bearing failed and resulted in an accident in which the consumer was injured.

While driving at 40 mph, the wheel bearing snapped and the passenger front wheel came off. As a result, the consumer lost control of the truck, but was able to pull around a corner and come to a complete stop, away from traffic. As a result this caused damage to other components. When the part snapped, the vehicle hit another vehicle, then a vehicle from behind hit the consumer 's vehicle.

Purchased 2000 Durango w/70k miles in 5/01. Compalined about front end several times, roughness. Also transmission not shifting. After a few warranty repairs and several costly repairs, torque converter brakes wheel bearings brakes again, the vehicle was out of warranty and they immediately said I need control arms and upper and lower ball jouints. I cant afford to replace them at this point, I am waiting for them to go out while I am driving down the freeway. This car has had numerous probblems. Door lock actuators, ac, heater,fuel pump, water pump, starter coils, the little stuff was always fixed under warranty after an argument , now I am reading about all these other complaints from people with the same problems. . . Thought you would like to know about another party w/ the same problems, should I send you the receipts and there notes for stuff wearing out?is there yet a recall on these ball joints and bearings so maybe they will get fixed before I end up in a crash?.

Wheel bearing wears out prematurely, causing hub nuts to loosen.
