There was a recall on the 2013 Dodge Durango for the SUV to suddenly shut off while driving. The recall was said to be fixed but since then I have had it shut off at least 4 times while driving. You lose complete control of the car; no brakes, no steering. . . Nothing! this has helped on a flat surface and on a hill.
I was driving and braking for a stop sign and the vehicle started to jolt. I pulled in to the garage and the vehicle shut off on its own. I went to restart it and it would turn over but would not start. I tried again later that night, and it started again.
The vehicle has shut off while driving a few times. Had to start it back up. Once, it shut off then turned right back on. No lights on, warnings nothing.
I had the recall done in 2015 for the fuel pump relay. I was driving my vehicle when it died and now I am being told the fuel pump relay is out and needs to be replaced. I spoke with the 800 number for Dodge who refused to cover the replacement because I had it done already. This is something that shuts the vehicle down even if you are driving. I was driving my vehicle and it shut down as soon I came into my neighborhood. It had to be towed.

Dodge Durango 2013- 78,000 miles: on multiple occasions while driving our 2013 Durango it just shuts off. All inside electrical devices go blanks and we lose power steering. We have documented dates of when this has occurred and it can be 5 minutes into the drive or 45 minutes on a busy highway. We have had it the garage multiple times and they continue to tell us without a code they can not diagnose any issues. This has been happening since June 2018. We reported this issue to Dodge. They suggested we go to the garage for a diagnosis. We tried again on 12/26/18 to get a diagnosis and they again could not find anything wrong with the vehicle without a code. As my husband proceeded to drive away from the garage, it shut off again. He went back into the garage and they said they couldn't find any codes. So we continue to pay for garage visits with no answers. We are now afraid to drive our only vehicle because it shuts off completely while driving. It is completely dangerous to be driving down a busy highway and you lose your power steering or if you are pulling out of an establishment and lose power in front of other cars. We paid a lot of money for this car and have taken care of it with regular oil changes and garage visits. This seems like a major safety issue and Dodge should be concerned that someone may be hurt or killed.
Vehicle shuts off without warning while driving, total loss of power, steering, brakes and throttle. Almost killed my family.
My daughter & granddaughter was driving along and the vehicle just shut down while driving no messages no indicators lights no warning nothing just so happen they were on the same street as the Dodge dealership & was able to get it started long enough to get it down the street now I'm being told it could possibly have been running hot & now having motor issues now I've told them before I've smelled coolant and was told there was nothing wrong now there's an issue this is some bs.
