We purchased our 2013 Dodge Durango new in 2013. There are several recalls on the vehicle since it was purchased. In 2015, we received a recall on vehicle may install and cause an accident. The part address was the tipm. After the so called fix, our vehicle never ran properly. The car will run rough, or sluggish. Check engine light comes and when I took it to the local shop they said it was oxygen sensors. We replace two but it never totally fix the car. It will not start at times. Finally it started stalling. I contacted the dealer the tipm issues and I was told it was fixed and that the vehicle is no longer under warranty. I did an extensive research and all of the complaints on this vehicle pointed to the tipm which it makes sense. I am in the process of purchasing a replacement part but in the meantime I fled a complaint to address the unwilling support from my Dodge dealer. I feel that doge failed to properly address this issue.
While driving it will randomly shut off. During initial startup it sounds as though it's out of gas and will not start; sometimes taking up to 9 or 10 attempts for it to crank.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at 80 mph the vehicle shut off on the highway. The vehicle was coasted to an emergency shoulder. The contact had a NHTSA recall letter number 17v-572000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) however, the recall was for a different issue. The contact was able to restart the vehicle with no further problems. The contact researched the issue and checked with independent mechanic and determined that the issue was the a fuel control relay. The dealer brubaker Chrysler 1020 lititz Ave, lancaster, PA 17602 (717) 299-6541 stated the vehicle was not included in the recall and recommended a temporary repair. They verified the contact would be reimbursed if the vehicle was included in a recall. The manufacturer was contacted however they referred the contact to call NHTSA. The failure mileage was 74,000. Tf.

Upon driving the vehicle over a small bridge, including on and declining off, then over another hill the vehicle stalled and lost power. We were able to coast the vehicle to a stop. I popped the hood and it had an electrical burning smell but couldn't locate the source. I was able to restart the vehicle and proceeded to our destination. Upon returning home the vehicle seemed to have less power. Again I checked under the hood and had the same smell. I checked on this website for a recall and it said there were none for this VIN number. I checked the model year and there has been several with stalling/electrical issues. The recall numbers are as follows: 17v435000, 15v115000,14v634000. We have had this vehicle in before for recalls, unsure if these were part of those recalls. We will be contacting the dealership tomorrow. Your form wont let me select the engine and powertrain as parts affected.
While driving at high way speed of 50mph the vechile will stall to 30 then 10mph when at the light this vechile transmission look like it struggling to shift to 2 year and stalls I called the dealership and the said they have the recalls this vechile only has 65000m miles on it and I brought from the Chrysler dealership last year certified b prepared.
Takata recall from time to time when starting the 2013 Dodge darango v 8 hemi it would just continuously turn over like it was not getting fuel it would not happen all the time but makes it unreliable when its your wife and kids using the car and what makes it a safety issue in my opinion is that the car has also stalled from time to time the car has been to the dealer 2 times now we have a extended warranty but they said they can not repeat the problem very frustrating.
My wife along with our 4 children were driving down the expressway when our Dodge Durango lost all power. All the indicator lights started flashing on the instrument panel. If not for my wife being a safe driver god knows what could've become of my family. Car won't turn on says there is no key present. Wipers come on and off, ac blows hot air, doors won't unlock, radio turns on and off. It's very upsetting when you think you're buying a quality vehicle only to have it turn out like it did. My wife has expressed that she no longer wants to drive the vehicle as she is scared something like this might happen again.
I traveled about 45 minutes away from my home stopped. Got back in to travel back home and the would not crank. The starter engaged but it did not start. After a few minutes it started. After getting home I went to o'reilly's to get the battery check and see if there was any codes. Every there check the vehicle would not start. It was the same problem. I received not warning at all this was about to happen.
Vehicle looses power and stalls when approaching a stop (while still in motion). I have to place vehicle in park and restart vehicle in order to continue driving. I am very concerned that this is going to cause me to be rear-ended at some point as it does happen prior to me arriving at a stop sign or stop light. This has been happening for approx. The last 3-4 week and becoming more frequent.
2013 Durango has been intermittently stalling (in motion) and hard- or non-starting(stationary). 62000 miles. Towed to dealer and of course they could not reproduce the problem. Did a throttle body cleaning at my request. Started ok for 2 weeks and is now doing the same again. Dangerous situation for my family.
I believe the totally integrated power module is the problem. It will not start sometimes and then will not stay running when it does. Cranks and dies, acts like starter just keeps turning over and over after hitting ignition button. We have had this problem for a few weeks and it keeps getting worse. Our vehicle year make and module fall within the time frame of a stated recall and the same issues in that recall are happening to our vehicle. It has happened in our driveway, rural and city streets. While at red lights or stalling while in motion or other stopping reasons. Please look into this, thank you matt l.
Tipm recall issue. I took the vehicle to get the tipm recall. About 900 miles after the repair, the vehicle stalled while I was driving on the freeway. The tipm wire burnt and the fuse blew causing the failure. Dodge dealership attempted to fix the problem again.
I purchase my vehicle in 2013 and shortly after recvd several recalls. One recall was repaired in a timely manner, however it took from November 2013 to March 8, 2016 to recv an appointment to complete the additional recalls. Shortly before my appointment my engine light illuminated. When I meet my appointment time at nyle maxwell supercenter in austin TX, I informed them of the engine light. After a week, they informed me that not only the countless recalls that need repair that I also needed a part for my transmission. They have no vehicle for me to loan out to me that meets the same needs as my Durango and have informed me that they may keep my vehicle for another 30 days. .
Three recalls unaddressed for 1+ years. Chrysler recall: p14 (NHTSA # 14v-154), p36 (14v-391), r09 (15v-115). Dealer and manufacturer claim that they are unable to obtain repair parts to address recall. Fca is unable to address a recall active since April 1, 2014. Today is Nov 7, 2015.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased from a dealer and was not repaired according to any recalls. The contact was informed by the dealer and manufacturer that the vehicle received a recall remedy. The contact was uncertain that the repair was performed and had no recollection of taking the vehicle to the dealer for a manufacturer recall repair on October 20, 2015. The VIN and NHTSA campaign number were not available. The contact was not experiencing a failure and was concerned that there may be a defective part in the vehicle.
My 2013 Durango rt ( 41000 miles) sometimes have problem with starting engine. After start push bottom is just cranking noise without start engine. Or if I use a key remote control to start engine then engine start for 2 seconds and shouts off.
The engine cranks but will not start and has a hesitation/lack of power on acceleration.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. While driving approximately 35 mph, the fuel cap warning indicator illuminated continuously. The failure recurred on a daily basis. The dealer diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new fuel cap. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 37,500.
April 2014 noticed loud sound and no brakes after going through carwash. Shortly after I received the first recall on the brake line. Phoned dealership but was told I was on a list and should be available July 2014. I've called several times but still not gotten the call to get my car in. Had to take the car into the dealership for water pump - at that time the service manager looked at my brakes and told me I definitely had a problem and would move me to front of the list. Still no calls. Since that time I've received several more safety recalls on my vehicle but am never able to get an appointment. I've asked since I have to leave the car to get a rental at their expense. They refused. I work 40 to 50 miles out of town and this is the only vehicle I have. I'm already being put out having to take the vehicle in why should I also have to bare the expense of a rental car as well. It has now been well over a year, my breaks are still bad. I panic every time it rains. My vehicle has recently started causing problems on starting up - it won't completely turn over - but it just keeps steadily trying - it won't let me cut it off and it's like its flooding itself. I now have a large stack of recalls on my vehicle and no one will help me. I'm not happy with Dodge and the lack of concern for my safety. I'm paying a car note for something that isn't safe to drive.
Nhtsa recall number19v-813. When is this going to be resolved?.
1. Owned car since Jan 2013. Leather started cracking immediately. Took into dealership and they said I had to get fixed. Went back to shop for something else and mentioned the cracking again and was told I could have gotten fixed but my coverage had expired. The cracking is really bad on the armrest in car. Have been over to dealership and called regarding the recall I have. It is always on backorder and someone will call when in. I have not received a call and I see this is a serious recall. Is this really important to the dealership that these recalls gets repaired. I would like to get this repaired immediately as well as my cracking leather which has been overlooked.
