I drove my van to town and back, no more than a 10 mile trip. Parked it in the usual spot. Two hours later, while my husband was in the shower and I was in my bedroom scratching off lottery tickets when the neighbor was yelling about our van being on fire. I looked outside and sure enough my van was engulfed in flames! nothing is left of it but a metal frame. We thought it was going to burn our home down. Weird thing is, years ago my supervisor's 2003 caravan was sitting in the parking lot for 7 years when it caught on fire and caught the car next to it on fire and burnt both down! it's too bad because I actually loved my van!.

Took my van into jeff wyler eastgate auto mall, in batavia, OH 45103, to have the two recalls fixed on my van and when I call to check up on the progress I get told that the tipm needs replaced and they are wanting to charge me $1,337. 60 to fix it before they will even be able to fix my recalls. Both recalls are the ignition and the air bags, both of which are caused by the faulty tipm. So what are they repairing and replacing on my recalls knowing that the tipm is the main reason my van has recalls to begin with. The recall for my air bags is as follows: the airbags will either deploy at will or not deploy at all. The letter I got informing me of my recalls stated that it could be in the wiring harness or other places connecting my van to the airbags. While driving down the highway at approx. 60mph the traction control came on and stuck on it would not shut off. Had to get to the side of the road and shut the vehicle off. This has happened at least 3 time in the last month and it only just started, I have owned the vehicle since 2011.

Tipm module malfunctioning. Wipers and horn will go off randomly, transmission will disengage at the same time. Power steering shuts off as well during episodes while driving! I have had to stop on the freeway with my kids in the car and restart the car.

Frequently will not start-have to raise hood & smack top of black box & then it will start, will go "crazy" while parked with no keys in ignition-horn honks, lights flash on & off, wipers go & fluid sprays-again have to smack box to make it stop. Between 5/2/16 & 5/18/16, while driving down the road, four times the motor has shut itself off, horn has begun honking, wipers go, fluid sprays, running lights go off. ** it twice on 5/18/16! thank god, was going slowly down a side street-again had to raise hood, smack on top of that black box-fuses and sensors must be in there-and it stopped acting crazy and restarted. My husband has been driving it as I refuse to!! very surprised and concerned that there has not been recall as this seems to be a very frequent issue with these vans-wish I had never bought mine!.

Car dies without warning. Acceleration, steering and braking compromised and dangerous. Happens randomly, when stopping, when accelerating when cruising at highway speeds. Engine hot and cold. New ignition installed as part of recall program and the problem has gotten worse since the "fix".

The van engine shuts down while in drive. This has happened 4 times with in a week. It has shut down completely at an intersection. Even the hazards would not come on to show other drivers that I was broke down. I received a notice last year about a recall for the ignition module and I was put an a long wait list to have it fixed. On January 3, 2016 I had the recall taken care of at sherwood service in salisbury, MD. I have never had the engine failure happen before having the recall fixed, and now, it is happening. When the engine shut down the last time, my husband who was driving had to call the police to direct traffic around the van until the tow truck got there so he would not be hit! it blocked an intersection for 30 minutes until the van was towed away, when the van got home on the tow truck, it started up with no problem. Every time this has happened, the van has been in gear and driving when it completely shuts down and it has either gone over a small bump or been turning. I would also like to add that I had an appointment with sherwood Chrysler in salisbury, MD today(3/22/21) and they said that they could not find anything wrong with my van and tried send my husband home in the van without fixing the problem! he insisted that they drive it (which they would not do today) to see if it happened again. They still have my van.

My van dies when I'm driving it I lose all power or no breaks no lights I can't even put emergency lights on, this is been going on for almost 2 years have had it in the shop twice has cost me a bundle, I brought it home the other day drove it to the corner and it died again in the middle of the street this is becoming a real safety issue that they can't seem to fix there is a lot of other complaints for this same problem, something needs to be done before I get in wreck and get killed or my children, I am afraid to take the car , you never know when it's going to die sometimes you can drive it a long ways and never die and other times you can barely get out of the driveway but it doesn't matter it will die going slow it will die going fast, I can't afford another car as I am on a fixed income, you need to do something as this car has give me nothing but problems since I had it I bought it and I am scared it three years ago, only 85,000 miles was on it I haven't drove but about even 4000 miles since I have owned it and I'm scared to get on the highway and nobody seems to know how to fix it, I've been driving this car for two years and this is happening to me probably 10 times at a slow speed and probably six times at approximately 60 to 65 miles an hour fast speedsi am tired of paying mechanics for nothing it dies and they say it doesn't die when they take it out for a drive ,well big surprise, because it doesn't give me any warning or tell me when it is going to die either till it does it!! Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep manufacturing company needs to recall and really need to do something about this van because somebody's going to get killed, does somebody really need to get killed before you do something about it, really??? and if they don't I'm going to have to see a lawyer that will help me with my Dodge Grand Caravan sxl , thank you I.

This is in relation to recall 14v-373, for the last 6 months we have been trying to get Dodge to take care of it, but every time we call in they never have any stock to take care of us. With as important as this recall is, I'm concerned for the safety of my family, and would like this resolved soon. We have been talking to the larry h. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram at 1800 w 104th Ave, denver, CO 80234. I called their parts department once to ask if I could go in and pay for a new fob replacement and they said yes, they had stock for that - but somehow they don't have stock to take care of the recall. . . Any assistance would be welcome.

My Dodge caravan is affected by the 14v-373 recall. According to the dealership I have been on the "waiting list" for replacement parts for several months and it may be another month or two until my name gets to the top of the list. Since it has been 7 months since the recall is issued I find it very unacceptable that Chrysler is not able to provide parts for this serious issue in a timely manner.

In regards to recall r03-Chrysler has known about this recall for at least 1 year, we finally receive the official recall notice in may 2015 to get this issue, which is a huge safety issue fixed. I contact atlantic Chrysler jeef in pleasantville NJ and they advise me they can not make an appointment they are keeping a list and when parts come in they schedule the appointment for the repair. The dealer currrely has 215 people on this "list" and have only been able to fix 9 vehicles out of the 215. I asked them if they provide loaner vehicles until the part comes in, they told me no. I contacted fca group recall assistance center and they advised me that Chrysler is extremely behind on making the parts and shipping them to the dealers. I requested that chryler gives me a loaner since I dont have another vehicle to drive until this safety issue is corrected, beings I transport my children in this vehicle, they advised me they can not do that. She than contacted atlantic chrylser in pleasantvlle NJ to confirm they are behind and she had them add me to the 'list"!!! this is a real safety concern and Chrysler has had over a year to make and ship the replacement parts, this waiting and not providing us with loaners is just not safe and not fair to all vehicle owners.

Recall ro3 important safety recall for wireless ignition node module I requested the service order for the important safety recall on 6/15/2015 received on 6/11/15. I have called every two weeks to check the status of the part order. This part has not been made accessible to the dealer. I called Chrysler today and received no answers regarding when the part would be available to the dealer.

On the evening of may 27, 2015, I was unable to start my van. The engine did not turn over at all. The van doesn't use a "regular" key but a win module. I was going to have it towed the next day but the van started for my brother. He jiggled the clutch and explained the vehicle wasn't in gear. The van worked fine the next day on Friday, may 29, 2015, until the evening. The engine again wouldn't turn over. I located a shop Monday morning, June 1, 2015, that worked on win module systems and it was towed to the shop. Unfortunately, due to vacations and illness, the shop was unable to look at my vehicle until Monday, June 8, 2015. I was informed by the mechanic that the van's win module was faulty. During the interim, on June 4, 2015, I received a recall notice for my van regarding the win module. It was notice r03. Since the recall, the win module isn't available. There isn't even enough to meet the needs of the dealerships (the two local dealerships have been given 20 yet, they have over 300 customers needing the replacement. This is outrageous. It will take months to correct this serious defect. I contacted Chrysler and spoke to "joshua". Chrysler has offered no assistance to me. I am without a vehicle. I have been advised that Chrysler will not provide a car for my use until my vehicle can be fixed nor pay for a rental. That is wrong. In addition, my van, which is inoperable because of their defective part, will have to be towed to a dealership at my expense. That will be several hundred dollars. Why? I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor, even though, "joshua" kept saying there was nothing he could do to help me. Why do I have to bear these additional expenses when this situation is completely and totally Chrysler's fault? why wasn't Chrysler required to increase the replacement win modules? this involves people's lives.

I called the dealership where I bought the vehicle new in 2008. I received this recall notice on may 16, 2015 for a recall dealing with the wireless ignition node (win) module may have unintentional movement of the frequency operated button ignition key (fobik) from the on to the accessory position while driving. The service deptartment of big o Dodge ib greenville SC 2645 larence rd. Greenville SC 29607 service dept. 888-804-5101 (they told me that the necessay part for the recall had not come in yet so I gave them my phone # back in may 2015 and have not heard anything yet. Vehicle stalled on short trip through neighborhood driving at local speed. We took the vehicle to a repair shop for inspection/repair and nothing was found. We have since experienced multiple stalls during low-speed driving scenarios and had the vehicle looked at again with no findings (throttle-body was cleaned). We have most recently experienced a complete non start of the vehicle (no turnover, no dash lights, etc. ), tried to start multiple times and nothing, waited a half-hour and it started. Similar non starts have happened (estimate 1 to 3 times a year) since we purchased the vehicle in 2008 but it has always started within a short period of time, we've shrugged it off due to infrequency and lack of gravity of the situations (e. G. Sitting in garage).

Driving down the freeway, cruise control shut off and every light on the dashboard lit up. After turning off the car for a while, things went back to normal. On a later date, I pulled into a parking lot turned off the ignition and removed the key--but the car was still running. The car finally turned off after four or five attempts to reinsert the key, turn back to run, back to off, etc. , shifting from park to drive and back. Researching online, it appears that these issues are symptoms of a faulty tipm.

Driving on the thruway with my family the van stalled twice without warning, although it would restart immediately and luckily there wasn't so much traffic. Have been having issues with dashboard lights(emergency brake, esp/bas, abs & traction) coming on every time I turn on the van and start driving. The sliding doors either open by themselves or don't want to close, I have to repeatedly push the buttons to get it to close and also at times the door stops halfway and starts clicking. I had previously taken the van to a Dodge dealer where they "fixed" the door problem, but after some time it again began with the same problem. My transmission constantly keeps shifing to 6th gear so I either have to turn off the van or shift down the gear to d in order to open or close the doors. The ignition key has been getting stuck on acc and doesn't want to come out. This is a very serious situation that needs to be addressed ASAP, before someone looses their life! the manufacturer needs to take action and make the necessary measures and precautions to protect the lives of consumers , not just the ones that are driving these unsafe vehicles but as well as those that are around us!!! (for many of us, this is our only transportation to get to and from work or like myself drive the kids to school and activites).

I received a safety recall notice in the mail regarding recall l25, I took it to dealer they ordered parts for it supposedly. Service center at Dodge advised me that the main problem I am having is not related to the recall therefore labor/parts/car rental will not be covered. (I spoke w a rep at Chrysler group recall assistance center who told me there are still no parts for it) rep at recall said to just pay for whatever is not covered and it would still be reimbursed. Who am I supposed to believe I am not trying to get scammed out of a cpl grand. I am having problems w the fobik getting stuck in the acc position, I was waiting up to 5 minutes for it to click, to get my key back. Now it is not coming out at all. I have to risk leaving the key in the ignition to possibly get the car stolen and the battery to die. I need a real resolution ASAP.

Received recall notice l25/NHTSA 14v-373 on 9/15/2014 indicating that I would be receiving a follow-up notice when the remedy part is available. To date no notice has been received. Called the dealer, the Chrysler recall center and the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline with no one able to find out when the replacement parts will be available. Someone must be able to find out that information! please provide the name and telephone number of the person I should contact to obtain the information as to when the part will be available. When I stop the van, put it in park & shut it off, the key is stuck in the acc position and will not move to the off position. In order to get the key to release, I have to start the car multiple times, move the shift in & out of park, move the steering wheel and eventually I will hear a "clicking" noise and the key releases and will then move into the off position. I contacted Chrysler and asked if this could have anything to do with the current recall for the ignition switch and was told no. Has anybody else experienced this problem?.

I have had numerous occurrences where the van ignition turns off while driving which began approximately a year ago. There has been a recall for this problem since June 2014. I received notification of the recall in sept. 2014 (important safety recall l25 / NHTSA 14v-373). Since then I have made several calls to the dealership trying to schedule a repair. However, I am always told that they have still not received the parts from Chrysler. I have to drive my van, but I do feel that this is a hazardous defect. It is very difficult to steer the van when the engine unexpectedly shuts down. It needs to be corrected. What is the purpose of having a recall when the parts are not available to correct the issue?.

Serious safety issue. My van starts on its own. The horn blares and won't stop. Wipers come on and the engine won't stop. Does this without a key in the ignition. When driving you lose complete control of the transmition and the engine will not turn off. Dodge needs to do a recall and something needs to be done. I'm afraid to park in the garage because it starts on its own. I'm worried the carbon monoxide will asphyxiate my family. I've called the Dodge main headquarters and they play dumb like they never heard of this happening. I found thousands of complaints online. It's in the Dodge dealer right now. Hoping to fix the issue. They don't know what the problem is. The actual problem is called a bad tipm (totally integrated power module).

I received a wireless ignition node module defect safety recall from Chrysler in July 2014. Your data base suggests may 2015 as the date, but it's wrong. This is much older. The original recall was l25 NHTSA 14v-373. The fiat Chrysler hotline for recalls has the number as r03. They have failed to correct this defect within a reasonable time, because this is 14 months. A reasonable time might be a few weeks, I think. I call dealers here in the st louis area, they promise to call me when parts are in. I called the recall hotline for fiat Chrysler, I complain to my state's attorney general for consumers, and get nowhere. All I hear is "we can't get the parts. " well, I know many, many model cars are in this recall; not only gm, but Jeep, Dodge, etc. But I can't help it -- I am the one who is in trouble for the faulty ignition and fobik, and this package has fiat Chrysler's name on it. It's time to twist their arms really hard. This is safety. The safety recall hotline at Chrysler says this is their part, and they're not doing it, and I quote, "I don't know what to tell you. " well, tell them. . . . . . . I think I should be given a car to drive that is safe until they can do this required recall. Or they can refund my car price and the price of my lift equipment installed for a scooter lift in the rear of the car. I've had it. Waiting and hoping are not getting us drivers anywhere. They've got to do something and now before someone else dies.

When the vehicle is turned off, the key gets stuck in the ignition. This happens at least once a day, and sometimes it happens every time the vehicle is turned off. The key will not turn all the way to the "off" position and has to be moved around and tried several times before it will turn and come out.

Van began making loud, grinding noise. Noise seemed louder when steering more to the right. On visit to dealership for ignition recall issue, they looked at where noise was coming from - since they heard it when they drove van back to the service area. They said it was a wheel bearing / hub on right front. Dealership said van was not safe to drive. It could cause an accident. It was a safety issue. Is this a safety issue enough to be a recall issue?.
