Mileage: 100,000 the engine will cut out while driving. Dash lights will flash, warning chime will beep, and the vehicle will rev and lurch forward before dying. This leaves the car at a coast. When the vehicle is brought to a stop, it restarts without a problem. Has happened in cold and warm weather alike. . Has happened while coasting, braking, and accelerating. Most stalls have been while driving straight in the city. No highways stalls to date . Cause: unkown; we have not been able to reproduce the event reliably, though it now occurs with some frequency (e. G. Driving more than 20 min). I suspect the power control module (pcm) or the ignition switch somehow moving between on and accessory modes. 3 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2017

Driving at 10-20 mph, warning lights esp abr and tracing icon flash on and off before engine stalls, happens whether turning, or driving straight. Electrical system fails including power steering, radio flashes off, clock goes to 12:00. Often at speeds 35 -65 mph, same lights flash on and off 10 to 15 times in various distances of 3 miles - 25 miles before stalling, driving down a winding, mountain road in heavy traffic at night at speeds between 60-70mph, same lights flashed on and off, the speedometer needle instantly dropped down to zero then quickly flipped up to current speed each time lights flashed, then they stayed on while I pulled off the road, it stalled in park position. Starts up again without hesitation. Once I went 3 miles without incident, upon returning while at a stop light, same warning lights flashed, when the light turned green, engine stalled. I restarted the engine and I was able to proceed through the green light making a left turn, no other stall the rest of the way home. Regardless if I'm turning left or right, going up hill or down hill or on city street, whether the engine is cold or hot or temperature outside is hot, cold, or raining. It is random, having purchased this used vehicle only 4 months ago, driven less than 1000 miles, I don't feel safe as a female senior citizen traveling alone any distance in this vehicle, previous owner had the dealer replace fuel pump and computer (twice). I have replaced the 1 year old battery due to a hot to the touch cable to the battery, not generating the proper amount of power, also replaced the original computer with a new computer which did not resolve this issue. Numerous complaints were told a win or tipm module would fix this problem which it didn't. 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan recall: ignition replacement. The ignition moves between 'accessories and on' causing engine to stall.

4 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2016

While driving the car, the engine shuts off unexpectedly and we lose power steering and brakes. We have to coast to a stop, put it back in park and restart engine and proceed. This happens with no predictability which makes this dangerous. The times that it has happened, the roads have been wet or snow covered. It has also happened on dry roads. Traveling at a high rate of speed makes this a dangerous circumstance. Since it is unpredictable, we are very nervous to take this car on a highway. We have had the car in to shapiro leon motor sales several times and they cannot find anything that comes up on their diagnostics. They did replace the powertrain control module. This did not make a difference. It continued to shut down. There is no rhyme or reason. They have driven it but it did not shut down for them. I got it inane shortly after leaving , it shut down. We know that there was a recall on the ignition switch through June 2010 but our car was manufactured sept 2010. However all the symptoms that are listed on that recall fit our van's problem perfectly. The dealership does not agree a per their testing. This is not something that we can have happen to us while traveling 65 down the interstate. The only thing that shows up on the dash is the traction control when we lose engine power. Please address this problem.

7 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2015

In regards to the safety recall of the wireless ignition node module. After contacting the dealer where we purchased the vehicle to make an appointment, we were informed that they would only replace 2 of the fobiks that we had. We had purchased an additional 2 fobiks from this dealership in the past, which according to the recall should have also been replaced. After arguing and reading the recall notice over the phone to the representatives at the dealer they agreed that they would reprogram our additional fobiks but not replace them. Upon showing up for my appointment on August 3, 2015, I mentioned that the additional fobiks in my possession should also be replaced whereas they said that only the 2 would be replaced according to their service manager. I did not argue any further with them because I am done with this dealership, I have had nothing but problems with their service department. Reading and following a recall notice should be a very simple process. We will never purchase or get service at fury motors of st. Paul or any of its affiliates in the future.

The wireless ignition node module will not turn off completely and gets stuck in the accessory mode. I must turn the vehicle back on, put it in gear, and then back to park several times before the key will finally go to the off stage and I can pull the key out. This happens very often. I received a recall notice for the win module (r03/NHTSA 14v-373) and upon calling the only Dodge dealership in my area, I have been put on a wait list because the dealership is only receiving two to three repair kits at a time and I may be waiting several months for a repair. The recall states, "this could cause unintended engine shut off and increase the risk of a crash. " this should be handled immediately, but it is not.

12 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2013

In the most serious of many no-start incidents, our van failed to start in 107 degree temperatures with our three small children in the car. We were stranded at a remote rest area, with nowhere to take refuge from the dangerous heat. After 18 attempts the engine finally started and we completed our trip to reno nevada, driving in remote areas amid deadly heat fearing our van would fail to restart if stopped. In the prior week while in FL, the van had a new battery installed at our gator Chrysler, in a repair advised to solve no start incidents we had in FL. The van also underwent an inspection, with no problems reported to us. We scheduled a panicked dealer service visit while still in route, at a reno Dodge on July 1st 2013. The dealership technicians retained the van to diagnose the no-start for 2 full days. They noted no malfunction and could not reproduce the problem. The van has since developed intermittent failures of several electronic systems, including stalling when placed in reverse, failing to shift into 2nd gear after sitting overnight, no power to the instrument cluster or no power to the console controls. The van at the time of purchase in December of 2011 had previously been "repaired" in the recall for its win module. Additionally a pcm reflash 68050411af had been performed. Our van continues to have no-start incidents and transmission fails to shift into 2nd gear, no fixes. Both reno area Chrysler dealerships have looked at our van and noted no failures. Despite being "repaired" under recall the ignition module continues to malfunction. With a fob inserted the module shows excess sloppiness in the clockwise direction. The key fob has been stuck in the ignition on several occasions, and the engine has continued running after removal of the key. These malfunctions have potential to become dangerous in certain situations.

14 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 09/28/2012

Driving on interstate I-90 when I lost power to wipers, turn signals, radio, power windows. I took the van back to the Dodge dealer since they had fixed the wireless ignition module under a recall notice in August of 2010. I was told to touch the key and the power would return which it did do. I was also told that the problem of the key turning off the engine was fixed under the recall but they now have this problem. Since first reporting the problem in October this has occured more frequently.

15 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2012

Bought vehicle used from a Dodge dealership in 2012, after several months engine shut off while driving on highway and then spontaneously restarted. This happened maybe once a month but then became more frequent until it is now almost a daily occurrence. When this occurs sometimes car will restart if you slightly turn the key towards start quick enough, otherwise you have to shift into neutral to have some control and then turn the key to restart (not fun or safe in traffic at highway speeds). This can happen while sitting in the driveway before moving or at any speed, bumpy roads especially bad. Once we realized what the problem was with the ignition switch/key I did some research and found the recall 11v-139 and determined that our van was built during the recall manufacture dates. Called Dodge 3 times, first two calls was told recall did not exist. On the 3rd call was told it did exist but my VIN was not included in recall. I asked to at least have the ignition scanned with the witech scan tool (as described in the instructions in the l25 recall notice sent to dealers) dealer to determine if it was a marquardt, siemens or continental win module. I was told I could do this at my expense but even if the results showed it was a recalled ignition it would not be covered since my VIN was not in the recall. This situation is extremely dangerous and if it has not caused any deaths yet as with the current gm ignition problem it will. Something needs to be done. P. S. Vehicle also has the transmission bearing noise problem and the leaky/noisy power steering problems that Dodge has described in service bulletins but has also not recalled.

16 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2009

While driving my van the ignition shut off. This has happened multple time November 17, 2009, December 24, 2009, November 19, 2010, they put a data recorder in each time. September 20, 2012 anoather data recorder was installed in my van. April 9, 2012 they installed another data recorder in my van. I have multiple claims with Dodge/Chrysler. Browning Dodge in corona, CA corrected the problem each time stating it was the wind module. They said the problem was caused by the adfter market alarm system that was installed in my vehicle by the dealer. They removed the alarm, and reimbursed my for it as we were unaware that the alarm was and after market alarm. On August 22, 2013 dch Dodge in temecula, CA finally found the problem they removed the alarm system and said that not all of the wires were connected. On April 22, 2014 my transmission started leaking they added dye to find the leak replaced right and left axle seals. Oil pan gasket was also replaced. On December 13, 2013 the pressure line was leaking, dch Chrysler repaced the pressure line. I have case numbers from Dodge/Chrysler to back up all of these problems I have had.
