Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Dodge grade caravan. The contact while the vehicle was in the driveway of her residence. The contact went to turn on the vehicle which seized with the brake indicator warning light illuminated. The contact try to restart the vehicle which failed to start. A bystander assist with jumping the vehicle batteries. The contact notice an abnormal noise (poppin) but within seconds the front passenger side under the hood went up in flames. The fire department was contacted and extinguished the flames. A police report was made and totaled the vehicle out. No injuries. The contact contacted her insurance company progressive to have the vehicle inspected but was informed that her insurance expired. Damages was to the hood and left side of the vehicle. The vehicle at this time was not daignses to determined the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approxmily 132,000. Ck.
