Car stalls unexpectedly with no warning or check engine light on. Intermittent occurrences. Sometimes interior lights stay on, sometimes not. Can usually get car restarted right away but not always. Has been doing this for awhile. Never know when it will do it. Has done it at all speeds, while parked and while idling. Have had battery replaced as well as starter. Suspect win module. See below - approximate date is unknown. Has been doing it for so long we don't remember.

Tl- the contact stated their daughter owns a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that when their daughter is driving at various speeds the vehicle's ignition goes to the off position causing the vehicle to turn off. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who replaced the alternator, starter, sensor regulating system, and battery. The failure persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the certified mechanic who diagnosed that the wind module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of receiving a repair. 3 Starter problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2018

The tipm is just shot and I've had the altnator replaced the starter and it's definitely tipm related. I don't understand why the recall on this excluded my van, it's been doing this for several months and it's making the vehicle unsafe. Please investigate this situation. (I have 4 kids and two of them have special needs and I need my vehicle to be safe for my kids, and right now it's just a joke and I'm telling you this van is possessed) it's completely unreasonable for the my Dodge to keep burning through everything I've put it in it. Please investigate this, the issue isn't gonna go away and I can't keep burning through parts and further destroying the vehicle. The recall that was issued excluded my van but everything from that recall is happening to my van and has been for several months and Dodge keeps giving me the run around. I've been a Dodge owner my whole life. But Dodge is about to lose a damn good loyal customer because this is beyond ridiculous. Ive been getting the run around from Dodge since the beginning of November of 2018. Please investigate this.

4 Starter problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2017

It appears that I am one of many Dodge owners with tipm issues. At least once a day when going to start the engine, it just cranks and cranks but won't start. After turning off the key and trying one or two or three more times, it will start. The battery is brand new, and the starter is getting plenty of power. Comparing my experience with what I've read online, I firmly believe the issue is the fuel pump relay switch in the tipm. It started months ago, and has gotten worse. My wife drives this vehicle the most, very often with our kids inside. We just have to hope and pray that it will start and not strand them somewhere. So far, we have only had issues while stationary. Thank goodness it hasn't shut off while driving as many other owners have stated. This is why I feel it is an important safety issue. What if it were to shut off in the middle of a freeway or while crossing an intersection? I find it absurd that Dodge (or fiat Chrysler whatever) would let this issue go while having knowledge of so many tipm issues, even with a class action lawsuit filed against them.

5 Starter problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2017

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. While the vehicle was stationary, the starter malfunctioned. The contact replaced the starter on three occasions. Precision auto care in madison, tennessee was made aware of the failure and replaced the starter, but the failure recurred. An unknown dealer in ashland city, tennessee replaced the starter as well, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

6 Starter problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2015

Tried to leave babysitter after 5 minute pickup and van wouldn't start. No power for anything like battery. Charge did not help. Slight click when you turn over key similar to starter but not as loud. Read all reviews for others and with tipm failure and their combined issues sounds like tipm. No power, won't start, shifts rough.

7 Starter problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2014

With no warning, I went out to start my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, and it turned over for about a second, then it was like someone turned off the power to the starter . . . It just quit! I tried and tried to start it, but all I get is one small click when I turn the key. I got online and did a search, only to find that this problem has been rampant for years now; and Chrysler apparently won't do anything about it. I am currently unemployed and need my van to look for work, and to get to work if I find a job. We are living on my wife's income right now, so I can't afford to put it in the shop, and the warranty has run out. It's only 2 years old . . . There's no way I should be having major problems this soon! I don't know what I'm going to do at this point, but I am furious after reading the horror stories people have posted, where some have spent $2000 - $3000 to get this fixed, and then the problem comes back!!!.
