When the ignition switch is turned the car will not start. I have to turn the key over 15 times in order for the van to catch and start, the problem is becoming more frequent. Also, when the dvd player is in the up position all of the warning lights come on in the dash the windshield wipers cut on and none of the dials work on the speed, gas and thermostat indicators. The dvd problems occur when the vehicle is parked and on the road operating. The ignition problem is when you go to start the vehicle.

Left sliding door is stuck. It wont unlock from inside or outside tryed to do it manually and sti does not work. Have tryed everything. This is a very concerning issue cause in case of accident or fire we will be stuck inside van and wont be able to get out. I have read online and have found thousands of people with the same problem. Dealer wants to charge $1000 for a problem that is a safety and dangerous issue and it should. E recalled cause is happening to everybody. How can I get help ??.

My car was in for a recall 2 years ago where my car would not switch gears when driving. Prior I complained several times before to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong until I found the recall or concern on line. My car is now showing the same signs as before along with stalling when I hit the break and making a ticking noise. How do I get this resolved since obviously it is a manufacturer issue with the car. This happens on highways, city streets when the car is in motion.

On 9-22-2018. My 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan drivers rear sliding door closed like normal. Then when I tryed unlocking and opening the door would do anything the lock mechanism on it doesn't do anything tryed manually unlocking it wouldn't unlock. The door just will not open. . . It was stationary in park.

Van would turn over but not start. This continues to happen over and over. The dealership told me I needed a new tipm and fuel pump. But found out this is a very common problem, and they issued a recall for other vehicles with this same part. It is the fuel relay switch inside of tipm that goes bad. It seems the fuel pump is fine. I can buy a repair part very cheap. This is plastered all over online and I think this is a known problem and should be a recall!.

I just bought my van used and the tire pressure light stays on (pressure has been checked) the check engine has now come on and remains on along with all the abs, traction control and brake lights have come on as well. The traction control light flashes while driving and the van will decelerate while driving. This happens while driving the vehicle. Every time driving the vehicle.

I had been having issues with the gauges started flashing and going crazy on the 2nd day after having it. Then at times I would be locked out for extended periods of time. After the oil pump in the transmission went out I had it checked for codes and it showed u0141 as being stored. After the transmission was fixed they were in the process of delivering it back and it started acting up on their way with it. After talking to the dealer today they tell me it is the tipm and it is throwing 35 codes. This is not safe causing you to lose power while driving or vehicle not starting or being locked out in an emergency situation.

Car incidentally does t start !!!! delay fuel pump tipm doesn't work properly !.

First thing I noticed was the tire pressure gauges come off and on randomly even though the pressure is correct. Sometimes, my vans sliding doors when they should be opening, start closing before the door is even open completely and without anyone hitting the button to close (my 3 year old fingers were smashed in the door due to this. Luckily, xrays revealed none were broken, but I am left with an expensive hospital bill)). When I go from reverse to drive, sometimes it feels as though I'm being jerked forward because the shift is so hard. Lastly, my van started not wanting to start in the mornings. After testing battery and replacing spark plugs, the problem continued to get worse. It's like it wants to start but can't get gas so it dies. Repeatedly trying got it to start, but then it quit. I was able to get it to start one more time and drove to mechanic. They informed me it's a faulty tipm module, and it now won't even continue to run once it's started. So they informed me they cannot fix it because only a dealership can reprogram it, and that because it's the module it's not safe to drive even if I could get it to start to take it to the dealership because it can die in the middle of driving it leading to dangerous situations. So now I'll have to pay to tow it. I just purchased the van 3 months ago because I needed room for my 4th child and wanted a safe, reliable vehicle. Now I have a car payment and a vehicle with only a little over 80,000 miles that isn't reliable and is sitting because I don't have the money to repair what should have never been placed in the vehicle to begin with given it was defective before installation. Please help people like me by holding the manufacturer accountable for falsely reporting a safe vehicle when they knew it had a defective part that can only be fixed by a dealership since it has to be programmed.

I bought a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan with 77,438 miles. The vehicle ran great till the end of November 2018. At which time we started having major issues. 1st the vehicle will self accelerate with to excessive speeds over 80 mph with no assistance. You have to hold the break to keep it under control. 2nd you can take the key out of the ignition, close the door and the car continue to run. 3rd when starting the van the transmission goes into limp mode not allowing you to shift the car to reverse or drive. To release the you have to hit the safety override switch place the van in gear and then you are only able to drive to the speed of 30 mph. We have taken this van to the shop that drive time warranty company directed us to which was pep boys. They were not able to do the work the vehicle needed but still charges us $50. Drive time said we would be reimburse for but never happened. Then drive time directed us to take the car to meineke the diagnosed the vehicle we paid the deductible $100. Drove the van home 1 week later it was back at meineke to be repaired again. Meineke advised that the part that was under warranty cause sever damage to other components of the van. Drive time authorized the work. We went to pick up the van as it was completed meineke advised us it would be $2700 for the repairs as drive time was not paying for it. We contacted drive time on this they advised us to pick the van up and not to pay meineke anything. So we went round and round with drive time and meineke finally getting our van back. Now 10 days later it is doing the same thing. I have 4 children and a wife that is in this vehicle that is unsafe and is an accident waiting to happen.

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, when depressing the brake pedal, the oil pressing and unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to independent mechanic and was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact state on November 9, 2019, while driving 55 mph, when she depressed the accelerator pedal but failed to accelerate. The contact stated the vehicle was while losing speed but was able to driver to the right side and park on the side of the road. The contact stated the steering wheel became difficult to turn at that moment. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact stated she called the police due to her disabled husband being in the cold over 2 hours. A police report was filed. The contact stated an ambulance transferred them to the hospital but no one was injured or needing to seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed to her residence. The vehicle was towed to independent mechanic where she was notified there was a oil leak in the engine and needing engine to be replace. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer has been informed of failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Dp.

The vehicle is 2 years old I have owned for 7 months. I start the car it will not go into gear. I shut the car off the motor keeps running. Then it will go in gear and move by itself.

The tipm is just shot and I've had the altnator replaced the starter and it's definitely tipm related. I don't understand why the recall on this excluded my van, it's been doing this for several months and it's making the vehicle unsafe. Please investigate this situation. (I have 4 kids and two of them have special needs and I need my vehicle to be safe for my kids, and right now it's just a joke and I'm telling you this van is possessed) it's completely unreasonable for the my Dodge to keep burning through everything I've put it in it. Please investigate this, the issue isn't gonna go away and I can't keep burning through parts and further destroying the vehicle. The recall that was issued excluded my van but everything from that recall is happening to my van and has been for several months and Dodge keeps giving me the run around. I've been a Dodge owner my whole life. But Dodge is about to lose a damn good loyal customer because this is beyond ridiculous. Ive been getting the run around from Dodge since the beginning of November of 2018. Please investigate this.

My van draws down the battery, found the fuel pump was not shutting off. The tipm is bad and I continue to wrestle with the problem. When I first complained to the dealer, they told me I had a dead cell in my battery. They said to replace the battery. I allowed them to replace it. About 2 weeks later , the car would not start. Same problem, over and over. The fuel pump will continue to run, now I have to pull the fuse so as to not drain my battery and hope and pray the van will start. Once it starts, I tend not to shut it off but this week it has been stalling on me and I am scared to drive it out of my drive way. It stalled on st rd 74, which is a 4 lane high way that is heavily traveled thru my town. Is there any class action suits going on for this same problem? I saw one ran back in 2013, I think it was with the Chrysler corp. Need help to repair the vehicle once and for all. Thank you tammy rabold.

My 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, with approx. 62,000 miles, keep cutting when I try to start it. The dealer says it the tipm, which costs $1,638. The van will start then cut off. I had to have the battery charged twice before I took it to the dealer for diagnostic.

My van will die at times going down road or just not start, after parking it. Then the check engine and stability control flashes on dash. Will not come out of park. Then it may start randomly and run for a few weeks or couple of months and do same thing again. We have put new brakes, battery, checked fuel pump, and put new tires and had censors on wheels checked. Still does not start. T.

Vehicle stalled intermittently going down road, dash lights flicker on and off, windshield wipers turn on intermittently, radio not owrking, windows not working, locks not working, all dash lights now not on, gas gage not working, rpm not working. Vehicle is currently not driveable.

Takata recall. The airbag light is on and will not turn off, the horn does not work and the cruise control does not work. I was told it was the clock spring which is recalled on all other vehicles but does not show up on mine. This needs to be changed.

I turned into a drive way and the car lost control. Breaks locked and I wouldn't stop.

February 2,2018 Dodge Grand Caravan turned off and parked in drive way my daughter comes in and said the van sounds like it's still running went out and heard what she heard also check on this three times before going to bed( this noise came from the gas tank). The next day 02/03/2018 noise was not there anymore. I had schedule recall work to be perform on 02/05/2018 but re-schedule with service advisor for 02/06/2018 car would not start key stuck in ignition switch. Tow truck picked up 02/07/2018 took to dealership explain what happen I was told by the service advisor to expect a call on Friday 02/09/2018 call came dead battery(new battery 01/24/2018) and the tipm kit was needed. This vehicle 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan tipm should be listed as a recall. I started last year having starting concerns with this van not wanting to start.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving approximately 45 mph, the electronic control system warning indicator illuminated and the steering ability, braking, and acceleration seized. The contact coasted the vehicle to a parking lot. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, the contact drove home. The vehicle was taken to nichols Dodge in burlington, north carolina in October of 2017 for a tipm issue. The dealer kept the vehicle for approximately 30 days, but was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 01 /13/18 the very first morning I had it I worked at 6 am about 5 mins into driving 11 degrees! the traction light came on without me pushing the button. Then a eps w/ des lite up?? they both went on by themselves as well. Also the roads were not wet! this continues every morning despite the temperature. Up to current day 01/16/18 we received a dusting less the 1 inch on the ground. I pushed the traction button on despite that me and my 3 children slid into a mail box thankfully slowly! had to be pulled out due to in not starting up and stuck. . This van is loud and runs behind, kind of stutters. . It went through a half tank of gas in 1 day! there is at times but frequent we can smell gas. ? also this van started acting to the point of almost stalling out!.

I was driving down the road on a shallow left-hand curve when I turned the steering wheel to the right, coming out of the curve, all the sudden the left front brake (lfb) began to chatter as though the lfb abs was engaging. The esp bas and the traction control lights came on. The van violently swerved towards the oncoming lane. Luckly, there was no traffic come at me. I was able to over correct with the steering and regain control. I took the van to a local shop which diagnosed the steering position sensor inside the air bag clockspring to be bad. It was replaced and the problem went away. I feel this is very dangerous problem and should be addressed with a recall before someone is killed!.

Door blend actuator is broken. Passenger side only blows heated air. This vehicle should be included in the recall.

Sometimes the car won't start unless you turn the key in twice.

I have complaint regarding tipm but now my battery is drained and car won't turn on. When is Dodge going to step in and help thousands of people with same problem before someone dies bc van turn off while driving and family sues? why it has to take a tragic accident before Dodge steps in? I'm sure am not the only one with children driving and still paying for this garbage van. I will never buy Dodge again. Getting a lawyer.

I have posted complaints for 2 years with same problem regarding the tipm however I was reading the reason of not being recalled is because all the tipm systems will malfunction regardless how many times it's change. If this is so why they don't recall all this vehicles. ? I've been stuck numerous of times, replaced (2) $200 batteries bc the tipm eats the battery. I have children and it is not fair to be stuck in the middle of no where when car deciders not to turn on. . Make it a recall for even exchanged for another vehicle where wie will be safe.

I was in my car I had just pulled into the driveway which is on an incline, my car was in drive my foot was on the brake when your foot comes off of the break and you are in drive my car will roll backwards it is designed that way. On this particular day my car rolled forward I noticed it was rolling forward and I put the car in park as I put the car in park and was stepping on the brake the car made a high pitched noise and then the rpms revved up and up and the car accelerated forward as if I was pushing on the gas and in drive. The car would not let me get it out of park and it kept going forward accelerating into the house and garage over and over. I had to slam the gear shift and hit it over and over from park down into reverse which finally happened and then I was able to go backwards and stop hitting the garage. I turn the car off put the emergency brake on and got out of the car to see the damage. Pictures are below I have seen other forums and complaints that this vehicle year and make have done this on numerous occasions. If my little girls were in the car and this happened at a intersection, we would have been thrown into ongoing traffic seriously injured if not killed!! this is a known vehicle failure which has not been taken care of with proper recall precautions. This is a dangerous and life-threatening problem. My life matters and so do my childrens. Failure to act is murder.

Fuel pump relay which I think its the fuse box. My vechile wont start and when it does , the windshield wipers turn on and its gave us a malfunction sensor.

The key will randomly switch from start to the off position while driving down the road. It will do it at any rate of speed and on back roads or the highway. It is a huge safety issue!!!this model van should have been included in the recall #14v373000. But I was informed due to it's "manufacture date" the vehicle is fine. I can tell you, it is not fine.

Have had my 08 van for a few years and everyone in awhile the alarm will sound wipers won't stop going. Has happened while driving car stalls looses ability to steer and light go off which at night make it really hard to see. My alarm and all other action combined happened at work while I was inside tried to turn off with fob had to unhook battery still didn't stop. I have 4 kids and this is what I have to drive them in we have went into a ditch and got stuck in a 4 way took to mechanic no codes no problem only this was. Was told by dealer the could not diagnose it unless it did it to them I am at a lose I have to drive to get to work my kids have to ride to go to sitter I am so afraid we are gonna die in this van.

When stepping on the brake. It grinds and goes forward. The lights on the dashboaed comes on and off . On more than off.

Tipm electrical problems ? (1)the engine stalling while driving,dash flashing, eps/bas light and (abs) light coming on with traction control light too then van dies or shuts off. Also mileage and prnd display blinks rapidly. This happens when sitting still or driving. Seem's to happen even when engine is cold or hot on the city streets or highway. (2)my van has had 4 or 5 battery's that have went bad,also sometimes it wont start,I get a jump start,go get the battery tested at auto zone but there's nothing wrong with the battery,(3)horn works but if you need to honk more than 2 times it stops working but later it works,sometimes it wont start and you take the key out and open the door then close the door and you can start it. Also lately it has been harder to start. Also you can't play the radio without the motor running it will run the battery down? but the 1st year I had the van 2011 I could run the radio all day long with only starting it up for about 5 minutes every hour. Also cruse control works then stops working. These things have happen over and over,in a 7 year period sense April 2011. I believe it is a tipm electrical problem. Can you send me a new one I am a veteran one a small disability check sleeping in the van. There is a video of the problem on youtube. I did not know there was a problem with the tipm. I though I was playing the radio too long,or the alternator was going bad but the alternator never showed bad in any test or has not stop working. So it was the tipm (fuse box)going bad all the time.
