Fuel Injector problems of the 1997 Dodge Intrepid

Two problems related to fuel injector have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Fuel Injector problem

Failure Date: 12/04/2001

Nhtsa# 98 v 184 000/manufacturer's recall 790 concerning fuel leakage dealer layton hills Dodge; layton, ut; phone# 801/546-2456 unable to honor recall because no parts were available.

2 Fuel Injector problem

Failure Date: 05/10/2001

Recall 98 v 184 000/fuel leakage; repairs made at hickley Dodge, salt lake, ut, phone # 994-4400. Problem with fuel rail leakages on may 16, 2001. Dealer notified, and waiting on pick up from the dealer. During recall repairs, dealer informed consumer of three bad injectors, while driving vehicle home consumer experienced a massive fuel leak, took back to dealer who stated that a bolt that holds down the injector was bad, they tried to get it off with an easy out and they broke it off, consumer took vehicle to another shop where they removed it and installed a new bolt.
