Seven problems related to gasoline fuel system have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Intrepid. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
A strong gas odor entered the vehicle.

Whenever vehicle is parked and turned off, can smell strong gasoline fumes inside vehicle. Have taken to dealership to check.
Fuel was leaking from the engine without a warning or knowledge where the fuel was coming from. Consumer is concerned of a possible fire.
When driving the vehicle we smell gasoline in the passenger compartment and when we park in the garage we get a strong smell of gas. We took the car to the dealership and they said that they were unable to find a problem, yet we still get this smell.
Fuel system explosion and fire destroyed car.
