The gear box & differential went out when we were trying to park. Applied the gas pedal, felt like the vehicle wouldn't move, applied the gas more & heard a loud �boom. � we're able to get the vehicle parked, then smoke started coming from the engine. Looked to find out there was gear oil leaking from the vehicle. Looked online @ Dodge Journeys & found out there have been a multitude of complaints about the same issue with other owners. Had to get the vehicle towed home due to being unable to drive it. This happened October 19th, 2019 & we've been unable to drive the vehicle since incident. Our Dodge Journey is a 2015 sxt all wheel drive with about 120,000 miles on it. There needs to be a manufacturer recall on these vehicles!! we've been told it's going to cost anywhere from $5,000 to upwards of $7,000 to get this issue fixed and we still have a vehicle loan of $11,000 we owe on it.
