1 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Magnum. When the vehicle was started, it did not engage in gear. The contact had to move the stick shift in order for it to engage in gear. The failure occurred fifteen times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the gear mechanism had to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.

2 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Things such as hair, liquids, dust, dirt and other debris falls down into the gear shifter of the Dodge model cars causes shifter problems. The gear shifter will lock in park, and will not move to any of the other gears. Dodge service department manager confirms that this is a common problem in all of the Dodge model cars. The only way to correct the failure permanently is to replace the gear shifter. This can cost anywhere from the low end of $325 to high end $425 including parts and labor. To force the car to shift gears you will have to manually remove the console over the shifter and manually shift which uses the gears from under the dashboard.
