The clunk. I have a 2005 Magnum with 79000 miles and a 2006 charger with 37000 and they both clunking the front end when going over road bumps. The dealer has replaced upper and lower ball joints which include the tension arms. . . About $800. I also had to replace tie rods ends, which was another $250. 00 the clunking noise is still there.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Magnum. While driving 5 mph he heard a thumping sound in the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a technician concluded that the front ball joints had failed; however, since the parts were on back order no repairs were made. The manufacturer stated that they would cover the expense of the repair. The failure mileage was 31,000 and the current mileage was 32,000. Updated 10/27/09
