1 Wiring problem of the 2008 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 03/11/2016

Help!! I have a 2008 Magnum. I tried for 3 months to get the ignition recall done. "parts weren't available". Suddenly 3/2016 my car shut off while driving. It was towed to a dealer where they did the p57, r25 recalls. Upon return of car to me I notice dash functions inoperable. I went right back inside and was told I could leave it to be looked at (I would be billed) I called fcausllc and they set me up for a tow to a 2nd dealer. There it was found the wiring under the dash had been pulled apart. Partial repair was made there, but I then had a slow drain on electrical system. For 2+ months I was ignored by fca trying to get the issue remedied. On 5/22/16 I was on highway and car completely shut down again. This time I hit a retaining wall. It's been 3 months and I have no solution to this. I was ignored for a month and a half. Then they deneyed my claim due to it "not being a mfg. Defect" they knew the problem before this happened in the meantime the dealer where the car is has notified me the cars airbags had been deployed and are no good. . . . If they just replaced one of them, how had they been deployed. . . Why would they said to have done a recall on a deployed system. . . . . And why was I not notified of a airbag system that would not have helped me if I would have hit the wall head on? I have filed 2 complaints with bbb , and fca lied about the whole situation, and the case was closed. The dealership that messed up the electrical system replied with a false situation, and sales pitch for a new car, and my file was closed. I am 2500+ miles from my vehicle, am in financial shambles. No one from fca will even return my calls, and they refuse to give me any info when I call. This has destroyed my business, family, finances, and state of mind. I am out of options, please let me know how to pursue this. Thank you.

2 Wiring problem of the 2005 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 04/17/2008

Vehicle: 2005 Dodge Magnum r/t with hemi engine with approx. 76,000 miles (car put into service in late spring '04). I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden the car started whining -- like it was in the wrong gear. I pulled over, couldn't hear anything and got back on the road -- everything sound okay. The next morning, after driving for about 1 mile, the same thing occurred -- I was going about 55-60 miles per hour. After I put the vehicle in park and back into drive, everything seemed to be okay. The next day, the engine/transmission light came on for a few minutes and the car again sounded funny, but now if I slowed down or stopped the vehicle (like for a stop light), the car sounded as if it was still in fourth or fifth gear when I put on the gas. I took the car into the dealership immediately and was informed by the dealership that the transmission wiring harness was so burned up that technicians could not get a read out from any of the associated computers to determine what the error codes were relating to my transmission/engine. I was also informed that it could not be determined what caused the harness to melt the wiring. Chrysler refuses to explore cause or to pay for repair. I am concerned that this could have been a disaster and I just got lucky before the vehicle caught on fire.

3 Wiring problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 09/20/2007

I brought my 2006 Dodge Magnum to two dealerships to fix my problem on both occasions I was told nothing they could do. The check engine light would always return after a day or two. One dealership in brooklyn even charged me money, say the car had to be sent to an outside shop. The problem is the oxygen sensor and the wire harness. The rear windows will not work,I was told it is because of the window tint which came with the car. The code on the computer at the service is p2096. My warranty is good until June or 36000 miles I have 20,000 miles on the car which I bought used from major world in long island city new york. I brought the car to brooklyn Dodge about three times. And major Dodge once. Can you please help me!.

4 Wiring problem of the 2005 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

I have not had a complete failure. Waiting on that to happen. My husband and I purchased a used 2005 Dodge Magnum se with v6, automatic transmission)in late March early April of last year from a dealership. It had approximately 36000 miles on it. We have not had the pulling to the right everyone else had, but we have experienced several other problems that are common. I have depressed the brake and felt vibrations from pedal on several occasions. The car doesn't seem to be able to stop completely. I even got out to look, thinking I hit something. Upon take off, the transmission doesn't shift smoothly. You can feel it jerk, and slam your head back into seat. A few months ago, the power outlet located inside the astray stopped working. It blew a fuse, we replaced it. Then, two weeks ago, the power outlet in the console stopped working. Just two days ago, the battery went dead for the second time in three months. We replaced the battery again. Now all the sudden the ac/heater stopped working. You can hear it trying to come on, but the fan motor doesn't seem to be coming on. Sometimes the rear passenger side window will not roll down by either the driver's controls or the back controls. There was an occasion this week that the rear hatch wouldn't open. My husband had to crawl through the back to open it. My husband has also been driving the car to work in the morning and the car won't accelerate when the gas pedal is pushed. We've noticed that the headlights seem to surge at night, too. Our factory integrity tires also had the belts break. We will be taking our car in to the dealership, along with copies of complaints from other consumers. I was so excited to have a nice looking car. Apparently thats all that is nice about it.
