I was driving 55 mph when my car went to 0 in less than 3 seconds was not able to restart vehicle. Had it towed to patriot in killeen TX the couldnt troubleshoot so they sent the car to Dodge country. Where it has been sitting since 8/21/00 I want this to be investigated I have extended warranty on the vehicle but all the problems it has they are saying it doesnt cover all. I've searched the internet and found out that there was a recall on this vehicle. Not sure if the work was done on my Neon prior to purchasing it. And would like to know any information and background on this vehicle I'm very disattisfied with the Neon and I'm sorry I have one. I will never own another Neon!!.

I have a 1996 Dodge Neon. This car is a complete lemon,my engine sealent has been leaking for over 2 years,im am not the only owner that has had problems with the engine sealent.
This must be the leakiest car around! can we recover some repair costs? no seafety defect mentioned in summary.
Brought car to dealer; cost totaled approx. $1,500; contacted corporate office and they covered parts; ended up paying approx. $400. Should be recalled -- outrageous viewing the numerous complaints on this same thing.

Please help me with chrylser. I have made numberous calls and they will not listen to me. It is ridiculous that I should have to pay for all of this. The car is obviously a "lemon. ".
While stopping at a traffic light the vehicle cuts off and would not restart for about one hour. The vehicle would crank would not turn over. This incident happened 6 times between the 21st and 24th of August 1998. The dealer could not duplicate the problem, and could not find out what was wrong with the vehicle. On September 4th, the vehicle just cranked and never started. The vehicle was towed to the dealership.

Consumer can be driving at approx 55 mph or less the vehicle will lose all power, engine will turn off , consumer tried to put it in neutral in order to gain control but cannot, had to pull over put it in park in order to start again. This defect has no warning, have taken it to dealer 6-7 times cannot find problem, changed plugs/plugs wires,put in cam sensor.

Rocker arm assembly defective.
When traveling vehicle cut off without prior warning, causing a rear end collision. No lights illiumanted on the dashboard, indicating vehicle had cut off. Consumer has contacted the dealer. Manufacturer's recall number 676 concerns the same type of problem unsure if the vehicle is included. Please provide any further details.

Talked to many other Dodge Neon owners with same paint problem. The blue (periwinkle) paint chips off. No safety defect.
