Car Stall problems of the 1997 Dodge Neon

Five problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1997 Dodge Neon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 11/01/1999

Defective head gaskets malfunctioned, causing hesitation and stalling which may result in a crash. Please provide further information.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 10/26/1997

While driving on highway the vehicle stalled, causing driver to loose control of vehicle because steering wheel locked up. Driver was able to coast to the side of the road safely. The map sensor was replaced by dealer on 10/27/97. On 10/28/97 while making a left turn the vehicle stalled again, almost causing a crash. Dealer also replaced camshaft/crankshaft position sensors.

3 Car Stall problem

The vehicle has had three head gaskets and a transmission replaced once, as well as three neutral safety switches because the back up lights would not shut off, there is also a clnking sound in the front end and safety TSB's on it and the dealer still refused to correct it when under bumper to bumper, Dodge's philosophy is wait till the bumper to bumper is done to have the person pay either with the deductable on the service contract or out of pocket. Legislation should be passed to have a 3-36 war. On all replacement parts installed during a war. Period incase of failure.

4 Car Stall problem

Vehicle stalls while driving. Yh.

5 Car Stall problem

Vehicle stalls without any warning.
