Original driver side master power window switch melted and stopped functioning. Oem Chrysler replacement purchased and installed at owner's expense. Two weeks later the replacement switch caught fire. Damage was only to the switch and wiring harness. No recall or service alert?.
I keep having issues with the wiring on tail lights, I constantly replace the light bulbs which work, the wiring is bad in this vehicle. I also have issues with the electrical when it rains, it drains my battery after every heavy rain, it makes a noise like it's booting up or something. I love the vehicle but really considering trading in.
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the wiring harness failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the wiring harness was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 108,000. Kmj.
