Air Bag Light On Problems of Dodge Nitro

My airbag light came on a week ago and wont go off. Very nerve wracking. If I fill gas tank gas comes back out of tank all over me and truck. Key fob stopped working setting off engine immobilizer costing me $207 for a new key because the one that came with truck could not be just reprogrammed. I love my truck, but it is becoming one thing after the other and as a single disabled mom of an 8 year old, I cant afford this money pit. Especially with what my loan costs me every month. I seriously thing Chrysler should take some responsibility for problems in their vehicles especially since I see a lot of people have complained about the same issues. I can say I will never buy another Chrysler product again. We little people pay more than enough for these vehicles, to just have to turn around and invest thousands more. I would not complain if it was just mine, but when you look and see all the other people that have complained about the same issues, then its time to complain because it is obviously not just mine and not just because its an older vehicle which I had thought til I saw the other complaints!!!!!!!!!!.

My passenger air bag light came on and want go off when I started my vehicle. Sure I be worry?.

In the past two years I've had to disconnect battery several times because wipers would continuously turn on and lights on and not shut off. Air conditioner stopped working out of no where after it had been professionally refilled just a year ago. Since I purchase the vehicle from a used car dealer 3 years ago, the power train feels like it pulls on take off also makes an airplane like noise and after picking up certain speed it then drives normal. Once in a while on acceleration it feels like it loose speed or stalls. Engine light went on with code p0507 which can be any issue pertaining to higher fuel pressure. I just replaced battery last month and decided to put a more powerful one to see if maybe issues would resolved but it did not help. About 2 days ago I got the air bag light turn on. When I purchase vehicle there was a recall for the drive shaft heat shield. I took vehicle to dealer to resolve recall and at the same time I mentioned concerning how the vehicle felt and the hissing sound like an airplane taking off when first accelerating. Dodge dealer advised stated that there was a computer (pcm) update that includes some of the issues mentioned but I would have to pay. I found it funny that I would have to pay for something that they claim resolves known issues but I went ahead and paid for it specifically since in the state of florida there is no lemon law when purchasing a used vehicle is purchased as is and I'll go ahead and to mentioned the loan which did not allow me to bargain because they claim to have to used book value. Too bad for Dodge not taking responsibility because the car has good power when its in working condition and it is a good looking car plus roomy for a small SUV; however, a dealer that does not take responsibility for there fault is one to stay away from.

Airbag light had been flashing off and on for a short period of time. After a short period the light has now remained on for an extended period of time. Vehicle has never been in an accident with airbag deployment. The airbag light just continuously remains on for a period of over 6 months.

I was driving my 2008 Dodge Nitro and felt a jerk then air bag tried to deploy and vehicle lost power while driving down the road. It did this twice and air bag on drivers side is trying to deploy with light and dinging every time driven. The gas cap will not seal causing check engine light to stay on and there has been contant electric issues. Head lights and tail lights have to now be constantly replaced and air bag light is always coming on with dinging noise. I believe I'm having issues with the drive train and several other issues that are all recalls in this year of Dodge Nitro.

Resently when car is started all dash lights go out & then the air bag light reappears as I drive it goes out & then comes back on so it'slike its does sporadically.

2007 4x2 Dodge Nitro recall. The airbag light stays on. It just appeared out of nowhere about a week ago.

So why driving this 07 Nitro imeditaly you get a chime from the airbag light it very scary knowing that you get in accident and loose your life thinking air bags wont deploy due to the airbag light never going away and when it does not long and it right back oni feel this be a recall only because this is a serious issue with any vehicle out in the world.

The airbag light keeps popping up. When parked or moving, it's always on and chimes from time to time. The vehicle has not been hit or in any car accidents. Dealer is unaware of any issues but I've talked with other Nitro owners that are having the same issue. My clock was losing time for a long time I took it to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong. Finally they had a recall and then wanted to charge me for the repair even though it had been in a couple of time for the issue before. I love my Nitro but I don't think I will ever purchase another Dodge vehicle again because of how my issues have been handled.

Airbag light come on and off as not been in wreck comes on while driving and just seating at a stop does not stay on for more than a min are so this is dangerous for me and my kids for it may not work if we are in an accident and it may just go off and cause an accident a lot of people having this issue this needs to be recalled and taken care of by Dodge before someone gets killed.

Electronical issues, like I'm unable t ok open trunk or lock and unlock vehicle with keys check engine light as well as an exclamation point turns on and of while car is on drive. Airbag light doesn't turn off even if both passenger and driver have seatbelts on it beeps while driving.

What driving in my neighborhood and all of a sudden the airbag light came on and has not went off ever since. I have did the reset with turning the key in the ignition but it will not reset or turn off.

Vehicle has a new transmissio now. Fuel backfires out the tank everytime I go to fill up the tank. Then,my insurance gave me a recall list to have it taken in. Took it to the Dodge dealership numerous of times and same problem occurs and they say in they're database its not showing anything on my VIN number. Air bag light goes on and off allday.
