My car didn’t want to start after seeing a check engine light saying cylinder 2 misfire then 4 had fuel pump replaced still had check engine light and was misfiring afterwards a week or two the truck stalled while driving off freeway in middle of traffic breakers did not work, car frozen almost wrecked. I had it towed back to garage and they replace fuel pump again but car won’t stay on it will turn on then shut off by itself not showing any codes mechanics can’t find issue over 2 weeks at garage already!!.

Four total incidents of the vehicle engine shutting off while driving the car. Most recent today 12-17-21 was placed in extremely dangerous situation and was almost rear ended 5 times by other vehicles traveling at speeds greater than 55 mph. 1st instance occurred back in 2007 traveling west bound on i635 in dallas (speed of 65mph) engine shut off, loss of power steering coasted to side of road. 2nd incident fall 2007 - from complete stop to turn left and cross divided highway, the engine shut down right in the middle of the intersection and was nearly broadsided by oncoming car traveling at 45 mph. 3rd incident happened while driving in my neighborhood, engine shut down and loss of power to steering. Daimler Chrysler issued a recall to reprogram the tpim module back in 2008 to address the problem. Nothing since then until today. I am the original owner of this car and it has been well maintained and is still covered under the manufacturers warranty for as long as I own the vehicle. What has prompted me to report this problem is the fact that I could have been seriously injured. There was no warning whatsoever and the place where this took place had a blind spot as the car lost power during the climb and coasted at 2 mph down slope on a bend on the bridge. Cars traveling towards me had no visibility to my vehicle which was for all practical purposes at a stand still. I notified the Dodge Chrysler dealership of what took place and will also contact mopar to raise this serious problem. If a vehicle doesn't start is one thing, but to have a car loose power out of nowhere without warning has almost cost me serious harm on multiple occasions. Daimler Chrysler should do something before loss of life takes place.

1. Engine light on reads gas cap . We replaced gas cap numbers times and engine light doesn’t go away. 2. Wipers not working . Water cleaning spray for windows not working front or back windows. 3. I have replaced my windows panel numerous times. The window panels keep braking and my windows stay down. Extremely annoying.

Significant amount of fuel spills from tank, down the side of vehicle and onto the ground during refueling. Unavoidable unless stopped at least a gallon prior to filling tank. This requires guessing the amount of fuel the tank can hold based off miles driven and/or fuel gauge readings. With practice I have been able to minimize the fuel spillage on my part but it still happens. I am in violation of state laws regarding refueling and pollution each time there is an incident. Further more, I have had a major safety issue resulting from loaning the vehicle to another driver. Post fill up resulting in said spillage; it was reported to me that a cigarette was tossed from a vehicle immediately after pulling from the pump, hitting the rear quarter panel covered in gasoline. Fortunately it just missed the fresh spill.

I was sitting waiting add a red light going to make a left turn in my car shut off in the middle of the road now I had to take it to the shop and they saidit was the totally integrated power module on my 2007 Dodge Nitro and I see where there's been a recall under totally integrated power module wayback in 2007 and now my car is in the shop gettingmy totally integrated power module repair and it's doing all the things that other cars have experience such as engine stallingmy horn goes off in the middle of the night whenever it wants there's a fan it comes on and turns all my dash lights on and runs my battery downnow my car is in the shop being having a total integrated power module repair and iwant to know why do I have to pay for a recall that they already knew about.

3 different times I have had to replace the battery in my Nitro due to the stereo. The radio is not powering down properly and keeping the communication bus awake causing parasitic battery draw. I have a mygig head unit with navigation and sirius satellite dvd player. At time the the Nitro will lock me in or out due to the stereo not powering off properly due to this issue you also can not get satellite service to work. Dodge needs to recall this issue as we did not ask for the issue. Also when filling up with fuel it does not stop on it is own like other cars and trucks, it spits fuel back out at you and spills everywhere on you the car and ground. The battery problem happens when it is turned off with no key in the ignition.

When refueling, gasoline splashes forcefully out of the filler neck every single time, no matter how carefully or slowly the vehicle is fueled. The quantity ejected is sufficient to create a significant fire hazard. I have learned to stand far to the side to avoid being soaked with gasoline.

Gas keeps overflowing every time I pump gas into no matter what pump or gas station I am using.

Every time I pumped gas into my truck, I get a fuel shower from the fuel shooting back out. It has a dangerous projectile and is nearly impossible to stop. Putting gas in my 2007 Dodge Nitro has become a fear to me. Nor was I ever informed of any recall. Most recently, it happed 11/29/2019 when I went to fill up again.

3 weeks after having my 2011 Dodge Nitro detenator would stick between gears, at both slow and high speeds and I was burnning through gas way too fast. Nissian found my tansmittion oil to be black, I paid for flush and told it was good to go. Next day the car died, the throttle body indicator came on, this was fixed, still burning through gas! couple weeks later now it sounds like a disel engine idle, I can not afford all these problems. I found several owners of this car have had same problems along with electrical as I have had as well, my electrical system cuts out randomly and a few times my kids and I have smelt what seemed to be that of burnt rubber or something. Im very displeased and upset with my purchase.

Tipm flashing , wipers do not work, abs light on- speed will not go over 40 and takes a while to reach speed. Acts as if the vehicle is running out of gas, brakes not working properly.

Refueling spillage Dodge Nitro r/t when fueling the vehicle, fuel overflows up thru the filler neck and onto the person who is refueling the SUV, thus causing it to spill over the paint of the car with approximately 30 - 50oz of gas. Takata recall. Driving on hwy @55 mph, horn going off, lights off and on,dash lights blinking, windshield wipers going off and then vehicle shuts down and reboots, no control of vehicle. 3 times. Please help!.

At each fuel refill, gas spews out after the pump clicks off at the full stage, very unsafe and messy. Gas gets all over my shoes and clothes and the ground.

4 big things wrong: first, the fuel spills out onto the ground when filling it up at gas station because it does not click off. I am always in a hurry to leave the gas station so no sparks ignite the fuel on the ground and then blow up my truck. Second, there are electrical problems. None of the inner dome lights work and the passenger headlight has a short in the wiring. 3rd, the heater stopped blowing through the main vents and also it gets cold then hot then cold again. The temperature on heater wont stay warm. 4th:the transmission is slipping and wont run right. It will not move when gas is pushed then after a few seconds it will kick in and go. Then it slips between gear shifting. Its an automatic.

Regardless of which gas station/pump, during refuel gas will overflow and spray onto the ground, car, and operator. Vehicle always stationary.

Electrical problem when pressing unlock button my doors lock instead. My plug outlet no longer works. When rolling down driver window down. Passenger window will roll down and up also. My gas cap light has stayed and and gas cap has been replaced. Shift solenoid.

Cardan was split into two pieces which almost caused an accident that could have cost me my life. There is no recall for this year.

My Nitro is having a problem with the abs system locking up or sometimes chattering then locking up when in 4 wheel drive on slippery city and highway roads, additionally when I remove my foot from the accelerator in that situation it actually speeds up.

My truck is have trouble with timps system and it's a 2007 and I seen it was a recall.

Takata recall, vehicle start crankin w/o the key on the ignition, while driving vehicle stalls, gas smells and waste a ton of fuel. I have been taking the vehicle to the Dodge dealer shop and they say that theirs nothing wrong with the vehicle. All electrical things goes crazy sometimes.

The tipm on this Nitro is causing safety issues. Its stalled going down the highway. It cranks but doesn't start. The wipers will not turn off. It throws up strange error codes then they just go off. My steering wheel controls and cruise control works when they feel like it. Some issues happen while driving , but some happen when stationary.

During refueling my vehicle has been "burping" gas back when near full. At first this was occurring when using the automatic shutoff on gas pump handles, but it continued to do so even when manually operating gas pump handles. After searching through forums with this issue, it appears it's a known fault with the roll-over valve which Dodge is correcting at the owners expense. Having a known safety defect that causes fuel to spill in quantity (estimating a pint or more) when refueling and the distinct probably that fuel would spill in the event of a roll-over is not something that customers should be forced into paying for.

Tipm issues. Causing horn to go off while stationary and driving. Causing car to not start while stationary. And causing issues with the lights, wipers and more.

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Nitro. While the vehicle was being refueled, fuel leaked back out the filler pipe. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 148,000.

When fueling the vehicle gas will spew out after the pump has shut off. I've tried many different things to try and stop this issue. If I fill the tank very slowly it will sometimes not spew or it may cut down on the amount spewed, but it has not made the issue stop. This really is dangerous and ridiculous. From my online research into the issue, it appears to be common with this vehicle. Although an easy, definitive reason was not given. Please address this. Thank you.

Takata recall , the air bag light turned and still on and off and made a whistle. I changed the gas cap 2 times and persist to turn on an advise on panel in the dash.

Horn blows will unoccupied. Doors lock and unlock by itself in or out if vehicle, vehicle has stalled several times,break light on and breaks failed ,heated seat either burn you or won't work, a/c comes on by itself,gas is disappearing really quick,oil light comes on, starter sticking, took to dealership and was diagnosed with tipm failing. S several times its tried to stall on me traveling on highway and Friday ran upon a slow vehicle in a curve and break light came one as I applied breaks and had little to no breaks. I almost hit the other vehicle due to this . This obviously is a safety issue and needs to be handled . And its even affect the remote start as well . It won't run 30seconds and it shuts off . Can't lock doors knowing they'll stay locked either . But most importantly above all is the stalling out its all tried to do and massive amount of fuel its dumping into engine getting into my oil ruining my vehicle and the electrical issue is gonna cause something catastrophic and needs to be recalled ASAP.

I fueled my vehicle at a local gas station and at the end of the filling the Nitro spewed (burped) approximately 1/2 gallon of fuel onto the ground. I am very concerned a fire may start at the gas station when this happens. Also the gasoline spewed onto my legs. The listed item poses a safety hazard and should be addressed.

When filling vehicle with fuel, excess fuel will spew from the filler tube onto side of vehicle and ground causing safety issues. This has happened numerous times in the 5+ years I have owned the vehicle.

I bought this car used in October 2014 from a friend and every time I fill it up at the gas station , the gas over flows with force and gets all over my hand and feet, sometimes it gets on my body too. I don'nt understand why it doesn't stop when it gets full. ?.

Vehicle just died going down the road electrical quit, engine quite, power steering and power brakes quit working.

Replaces a new agr valve in January 2015 at local garage, philips garage in dewart, PA. In October the light comes back on and once again diagnosed by bz. Motors in lewisburg, PA the test are confirmed that the agr valve is not good. I cannot go back to other mechanic , because he had a stroke and cannot work again. I am scheduled again for replacement on Saturday the 6th of February 2016. I would like to know if there are recalls on the part or if the company can help m pay for the part to be replaced again cost $324. 00. Gas cap replace and rubber housing replaced on gas filler cap, cost was $ 61. 22 housing replaced in with new secure bracket after falling down into the vehicle. The line was secured again . Costing me $81. 62. Cape replaced for $21. 00. I would like to be reimbursed for these defaults as they too are recalls. I also had seen online that the shield for exhaust and its parts had a recall. Since mine was replaced after falling off in March 2015 while I was driving. New part attached back on and nut-stamped flange and shield exhaust. Costing me $147. 45 in labor and repairs.
