Two problems related to steering linkages have been reported for the 1996 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the vehicle experiences loss of steering control due to a defective steering tube which sheared off from the tie rods, cause the vehicle to crash into a tree.
Bolt in steering arm separated, causing loss of vehicle control. Dealer has been notified.
