Four problems related to windshield wiper/washer have been reported for the 1997 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wipers: wipers will not stay down on windshield, driver's side more of a prblem. When driving at a slow speed wipers will stay down, on interstate where speed is 65 and above they will not stay down, and they freeze up.
Windshield washer compartment failed.
While driving vehicle at 50 mph and up the windshield wipers do not wipe window clean, causing very poor visibilty. Vehicle has been taken dealer several times, but problem remains.
Whenever it snows or it is cold, ice blocks the windshield wiper blade.
