Two problems related to tank assembly have been reported for the 1998 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Failure of fuel pump and fuel pump/level, caused shut down of engine. Could not restart engine truck had to be towed into shop, all parts replaced still under warranty so no charge for replacements.
Original gas gauge failed,owner replaced it and failed again. Yh.
