Front Seat Recliner problems of the 2000 Dodge RAM

Two problems related to front seat recliner have been reported for the 2000 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Recliner problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2004

While driving consumer heard a knocking noise coming from the front driver's side. When the vehicle was parked driver's side seat became detached from the bottom of the floor, no anchorage or bolt was holding the seat in position. Consumer drove vehicle to dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the seat needed to be replaced. This vehicle was not on recall and consumer would be charged for repairs.

2 Front Seat Recliner problem

Vehicle was at a stand still was was rear ended in which both driver's side and passenger's side seatback bolts broke, causing seat to fall backwards in the reclininng position, and causing injuries to both driver side and passenger side occupants. Please provide any further details.
