Two problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 2001 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The tensioning clip for the rear and passenger side seatbelts has failed twice since purchase. These clips are made of hard plastic and have srings inside to provide tension to keep belt from slipping. The clips are manufactured in two pieces and snap together. I do not believe that these clips would hold up in a crash and would fail, allowing passenger and car seats to move foward.
Consumer states the tether strap does not work with any forward facing car seats.
