Dodge RAM owners have reported 2 problems related to child seat (under the child seat category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While riding rear-facing in her car seat, my daughter put her foot over the side of the seat and accidentally kicked the tilt-release mechanism on the latch strap, causing the strap to loosen several inches. I am a cpst, and I am certain the seat was installed tightly and correctly before she kicked the release. I had heard of this problem happening to other people, so I diligently check my seat each time we use it. I feel the design of the seat and the placement of the tilt-release makes accidental loosening a real danger for anyone using the seat. The contact owns an eddie bauer deluxe convertible rearfacing infant seat, model number 22-880. The child seat was manufactured on March 8, 2006. The contact stated that the bottom strap of the child seat, which connected the seat to the vehicle, failed to tighten. As a result, the child seat remained loose and was not safely secured to the seat properly. The contact felt that this was a safety hazard and could cause severe injuries in the event of a crash.
