Wheel Problems of Dodge RAM

Aluminum valve stem/tpms sensors on both front wheels corroded and failed at the same time causing two flat front tires and loss of steering. Proceeded to repair shop to have all (4) valve stems and (2) front tires replaced. Repair personnel informed us that this is an epidemic. According to them, in 2010, manufacturers became aware of this problem and began using rubber valve stem/tpms sensors.

I had a car wreck in a 4 month old 2011 Ram 1500 4 wd quad cab on oct 3 rd 2011, I was pushed into a metal guard rail and concrete wall at 70 mph, the fromt passenger wheel broke compltey off and both front side were impacted hard enough to bed the frame on both sides, no brakes before or after impact, I did habe my seat belt on, none of the front or side air bags deployed at any time. The car that hit me had sull air bag deplyment. I just had the truck into the dealer for an oil change at 17k miles and tire roation which told me "quote" this truck has several recalls that were not mailed out to the owners". They did not tell me what the recalls were they only said that they chaged the oil and roated the tires and checked the coumputer for "issues".

On my way to work, as usual, on a "slightly" bumpy part of the highway my steering wheel and front end started vibrating so violently that I almost lost control. I could barely hold the steering wheei; and could not steer at all; all I could do was start braking and come to a stop. I got out and checked my tires and front end and everything appeared normal. I continued to work at about 40 mph (I had gone to work early so no traffic) . At 8:00 I called my local mechanic and took it to him to check out what happened. He check everything and nothing showed. The next day it happened again; then again 2 days later. About 2 weeks later I took pickup in for regular oil/fuel/air filter change service. He test drove with me along and I explained further what happened. He said he has seen it before with Dodge 2500 & 3500 and it has been labeled the "Dodge death wobble". I thank god I was not in a busy traffic area.

While traveling on the highway I-90 one of my pro comp all terrain tires 33/12. 5/r17 lost all the tread, oit peiled off like a retread (they are not re traeds) they had about 50% tred life left on the tires and I had just checked the tire pressure as I was hauling a horse trailer. As the tread came off the tire it made a couple rotaitions and completely distroyed the side of my truck bed. I was able to maitain control of the vehicle and pull to the side of the road. The tire still had air in it just no tread. The tread completely seperated from the tire. I have read a number of posts on the internet with others having the same issue.

There was a noise when a turn was made, the dealer stated the front wheels were wobbling. . If kept on driving wheels would fall off.

Wheel axle hub nuts have backed up three times while consumer was driving. Due to this problem brakes on front left side became prematurely worn. Contacted dealer.

3 of 4 wheels bent on heavy duty pickup truck used for city driving and to tow a small 5t. H wheel trailer. Problem discovered during purchase of new tires.

The left front wheel of the vehicle came off causing damage to the vehicle (ohio traffic crash report). Nlm.

The front and rear driver's wheel was not welded correctly, causing the vehicle to shake hard. Also, rim came off. Please provide further information.

While driving at 50mph right rear wheel separated from the vehicle, causing the vehicle to hit the guardrail. Dealer said itwas the owners fault. Vehicle has not been repaired.

Upon having wheel rotated noticed 2-4 inch crack in welding of all four wheels. Please provide any further information.
